I didn't expect them to last the day, but I gotta admit I was still astonished that they sold out in ten minutes!

I've missed out on a few pieces of gear because of this. If you don't hit it the moment you get the email alert it's hopeless, and I'm not usually impulsive enough to plink down my money without thinking for a few hours at least.

I like the way Grayson of Triode Pedals works. I saw stuff I wanted on his website and emailed him, and he said he would build it for me after I pay a deposit. No mad rush to beat a crowd.

Is anything your computer actually spits out in 4K, other than the occasional youtube or Netflix video? I would think 1080p (or, hell, 720p) would be sufficient for any music recording/sequencing/editing software.

But what do I know, I'm still doing all my music production on a >15-year-old Mac G4 connected to a 1600x1200 display via DVI!

No. But there’s definitely something different in the quality of the smaller one. Refresh, pixel density, magic, I don’t know.

I have my Alienware PC to mix and master.
But 99.9% of my recording is done with my Tascam 4 track.
Also dusted off my 2009 MacBook Pro with FireWire interface to use as a tape recorder. It has 8 mic ins so I can easily do full drums.
Still running old Ableton Live 9 on everything.

Currently in the final stages of my next “release”. Mastering session, euh.....Fun level.....3\10

Kinda makes me wonder why Looperlative isn't selling more units...clearly the market is hungry for a full-featured looper. Maybe because Loupé is a pedal, not a rack?

that’s my assumption. Pre Covid, the only people I saw playing racks were metal bands who had their AxeFXes out of sight, and people who were really committed to doing their own thing, like Steve Lawson. Also, Looperlative has zero social media presence and little hype even though it sounds like a great unit.

Racks don’t get the likes and you need influencers these days.

i know a few guys who have them and who helped with the design.

for my use, it has a few design flaws, most specific of which is not having a master volume for the loop (“why would you need that?” is the direct quote). don’t know if that has changed.

i thought there was a pedal version?

Racks don’t get the likes and you need influencers these days.

for the looper world, a few of the “bigger names” (guy who runs the looper festival every year, a few others) are users and helped with features sets. so they’re sort of “influencers.” (at least last i know.)

i tend to think that the problem lies more in bib needing to make a living and not being able to devote more of his time/energy to it.

i could be absolutely wrong about this.

- doesn't do Bandcamp
- doesn't do Dropbox
- doesn't do iTunes, except under duress
- has next to zero internet presence
?

Lemme figure out of I can upload something to Soundcloud without totally effing up the resolution...or without totally maxing out my storage allotment.

I've been pulling out my Moogerfoogers - used the MF-103 phaser and MF-104 analog delay (one of the original Big Briar run, picked mine up in Kyoto around 2003), also the Sirin on the second part. If someone wants to do something on top of my part 2 and then extend it beyond that - go for it!
