Very much so. I’ve got students all over right now and their experiences are...very different.

I’m not at all confident we are done with lockdowns, so now is the time to see friends and do stuff.

there were some serious ****-ups in our dad rock practice today. But of course people would be rusty after not playing songs for a 18 months.

To the musical point, agreed. At this point I'm trying to let it all go and just have a great time...appreciate whatever comes about. We can ALWAYS improve. One moment is one single moment, and nothing more. Enjoy the moment and come back home to practice. Grateful for anything, man!

As I previously mentioned, seems like a one night stand between the landscape stereo field and the moffenzeef stargazer.

Well, I just pulled the trigger on the Soma COSMOS (if sending them an email saying "Put me on the list" counts as pulling the trigger) so it's probably just as well that I didn't see that Enner until now!

Here's a video of the final two tunes. I won't point out all of the mistakes that I made...I'll leave that to you...but for the most part it sounds good. Hoping I get a stab at some of this music again in the future. It's a lot of fun!

LOL. One thing I've learned to do over the years is to hide my mistakes....however I'm happy to send you a spreadsheet with the time codes.

Thank goodness the one tune that I super botched wasn't filmed. I should have asked for the tempo on it when I got the chart. It looked so easy on paper, and then it turned out the tempo was FAST. Oof....lesson learned!

Anything Beyerdynamic imo is top notch.

Closed. I’m still using Sennheiser 280. Tough. Commonly used and available. Replacement parts available. Not “amazing” sounding but pretty darn good.

I wish I had a brain that could process this information. It is a very different language from my caveman grunting, and I've never been able to translate it. The rhythms and melodies certainly are working together and related, but I just don't know "how" they work. Half my brain wants to dismiss this style of music as nonsense, and the other half feels ashamed like it should understand it.
