@Funky40 wanted more info, so here you go (also pics for the rest of the group). This is technically my 3rd touch guitar. The 2nd is made by Touch Guitars in Germany but was waaaaaaay heavier than I ordered. It's been demoted to backup and will be sold once I get my 2nd custom one made (this time an original design by Martin Keith). The first was a used NS Stick which is a brilliant instrument but I prefer a radiused fingerboard.
They are all played more vertically than a guitar, hence the different strap button location, though if I want to strum or put it on my knee, I can.
This one is definitely a keeper. Made by Jacques and Andre at Lutherie MF, around the corner from our home in Montreal. Ash body, maple neck, pao ferro fingerboard. The body is curved, like mine! 24 frets. Craft drawer liner for a mute at the 1st fret. We found the finish colour in the wood stains at the local hardware store. Whole thing comes in under 8#. There are hollowed out parts of the neck and body to make it lighter. Tuning is Bb (below low B) to D4 (a full step below the high E on guitar), tuning BbFCGDACD (top 4 strings are unwound plain steel).
You can play it like a stick and do guitar and bass parts at once, but I'm more into playing it like I have one big hand with 8 fingers and 2 thumbs, which is the method I've been learning for the last 2 years. I can also strum and pluck like a bassist. Took it up because of a hand issue, but now I'm committed because of musical reasons.
