Well, I spent a good hour and a half today A/Bing my LMII to the PF350 to see if I wanted to sell the LMII and get the 350. After debating back and forth, I just don't know what I like better!

The PF350 has an awesome grind and punch that the LMII is missing, but the LMII is soooo much sweeter up top. I thought the PF350 sounded great fingerstyle, but its slap sound could get clanky in a hurry, and I am called on to slap on occasion. I was also kind of bummed that the 350 is actually heavier and slightly larger than the LMII.

i guess that's the tradeoff for it costing $300 vs $600.

Thanks for your reply. It was, in fact, your nice A/B test that pushed me over the edge and convinced me I could use the extra umph that the 350 delivers.
I wonder what's making the pop noise. It's not a super loud noise but like I said my Micro head doesn't make any noise at all (except for the fan). I guess I'll have to pack it up and ship it back for a replacement in hopes the new one won't make the same noise. Any other 350 or 500 users hear a medium soft Pop about 2 seconds after your amp lights up?
my micro vr actually makes that noise. nothing at all to worry about...it's just the amp turning itself on after performing its internal checks and letting the current rush into the amp.

Brought the PF350 to our jam session today and it blended really well with the other guys. Our guitar players has a Les Paul Standard and the 350 held up nicely. We jammed all day - hard rock, blues rock. The amp has a rich tone and just enough grind starting at around 10 through the XLR out. The guys were impressed and very please with the sound we all got today. It was a good day... ;)

Put in an order for the 500/115 from GC yesterday, and it's on backorder. It's probably going to come in at the same time as the upright I have been waiting on forever, and cause me a bunch of grief trying to choose between the two.

I'll be giving mine the first gig try tomorrow night at John Barleycorn in Schaumburg IL for a benefit for Breast Cancer. It has an awesome stage and I should be able to get a good test and some good pics

Very curious about how this goes as I am starting to wonder if my pf500 is going to have the power for gigs bigger than a 100 people at a bar.

I played there (john Barleycon -Schaumburg ) with an Ampeg BA115 before. Their sound system and crew is top notch (Josh from Hedroom). Minimal stage volume is needed in such an enormous venue! I'll be playing 2 different sets tonight with two different unplugged (except for me!:D) acts. I'll be giving the new config a try tonight

Thanks for all the great reviews! Finally bit the bullet and ordered a pf350 with 210 cab based on this thread mostly. Want it for a gig weekend after this one, hope it arrives in time!! :hyper:

Just curious since I didnt see it here, how many watts can I expect at 8ohm? Thinking 200-250W maybe?

This head is plenty loud....after trying to decide on a cab I have paired my pf500 with a gk 115 neo III.

Sounded great at my first practice and I was maybe at 10 oclock if that on volume... I want to add either the gk 212 to my rig or another 115....so far I have great tone plenty of cut but enough warmth as well.

I tried the 210 pf cab it sounded good...dont get me wrong but I liked the gk cab with the pf better.

250 watts rms @ 8 ohms, 5% THD,
350 watts rms @ 4 ohms, 5% THD

I have a 350 with a 115 cab and I love it. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. :)
