Thanks everyone on helping people get questions answered about this awesome amp without being harassed by the Clown Patrol. I am glad everyone seems to be enjoying the might of the 7Pro. Rock on DoomTroopers!!

Here is my current configuration... I really like the L2500 > 7Pro > 215xl by itself (without any effects) quite a bit... it just oozes POWER... I hardly use them at all!!

Sold off my 3Pro although I loved it... replaced my 8 cabs lost in divorce with the Hartke cab, gonna retrofit it with Eminence neos when I can afford it. Hell Yeah!!

The problem I have with these, and similar sleeves, is that they offer zero protection to the fragile front panel controls. A case, such as an SKB, offer almost complete protection.

Nice to see someone else digging aluminum cones with there 7pro!

I use a Bugera 4x10 with aluminum cones with mine and it sounds great.

Part of me wants to upgrade to an Ampeg 6x10 or 8x10 eventually, but wonder if I'll miss the aluminum cones, cuz I really dig my tone now, despite the "cheap" cab.

Only way to really know, I suppose wouldbe to just try my head side by side with one of the Ampeg cabs, and say.... maybe a Hartke 8x10 and see what does it. But just curious if anyone else here is digging the 7Pro with aluminum cones.

never been a fan of alu coil... but if you do that's ok... I love my 610hlf, at only 600w you can feel sound the pressure when cranking my SVT7... 810 would be awesome, but I would still need that tweeter and extra low end from that portholes... Bring back those dead: Zombies are the trend these days !!

Hartke has great cabs, but I must admit I'm not a huge fan of aluminum drivers, which is why I will be retrofitting the cab with eminence 3015ho neo speakers... As stated.
The cab is the perfect dimensions for it and despite the fact that I got it for a steal it is in great condition. It is a beast already but when it is done it will be beyond Beast... SuperBeasto!!

Once those drivers break in you are gonna be pumped. Actually, you'll be pumped before, then when they break in you'll be double-pumped. Just so nice with this amp. If you search TB and find the sound samples for the Genz uber 115, you can get an idea of what the sound is like. I'll look and see if I can find it...

The pic I posted above your post is mine in the Carvin case... Old yet ironic quote of me you got there... I baby my stuff and so don't worry much about the front panel... If you prefer an SKB case then you should probably get one... just sayin':hiding:

My first post,

I can't say enough positives about my 7 pro. For someone who has only been playing bass for a few years, it's very user friendly and has more then enough balls for all occassions. I'm currently using it through and old 1 x 15 fender speaker, although its sounds awesome, I'm looking for a 4 x10. Can any of you fans recommend a perfect fit that would suit most styles? I'm contemplating the Pro Neo/ SVT 410 hf.

They would work. I'd also say check out the 410he if you prefer a cab that's tuned more like an 810e instead of super low like the SVT 410hlf. Don't know much about the PN410hlf, though.

I have a question for the players in bands/... I am in thought mode with another about starting a company that would rent tour buses at an affordable rate..these buses being old school buses turned into gig worthy buses. is this something you would consider or are all of your gigs close to home?

Almost all my gigs nowadays are close to home but I could see the appeal of renting a tour bus. The only problem I think you might run into is repairs. If you're renting a tour bus to a band, they are certainly going to expect it to run properly and not break down. That said, you might run into issues if one of the does breakdown 2000 miles away from your home and
