Just another "appreciation" post...........

Used the SVT2 w/ NV610 last Sat. nite in a pretty big room-big stage- enough room so we actually had room to run around!!!!! ;-)
MAN it sounded great!!! REAL VINTAGE BASS (used my Jazz bass) with a punchiness I'm sure all SVT2/NV610 users know :-) Hadda tell ya... JUST SO nice to be able to run the amp at about 4(10 oclock) -not have ANY complaints from our crusty keys player- & have a super sound. I had the NV610 on a cuppla milk crates(one high only) So about 12" off the floor. Man I wish I could play on that stage every w/end!
Sorry- but had 2 gloat! LOVE this rig!

Yep.......

Gotta love an SVTII through a 6x10!!!!!!

Did you notice much difference in the bottom end with it up off the floor????

I find it just fine hearing wise having it on the floor, Plus I can only just lift it up on top with it down low.... Bloody rack case on it's own weighs 25kg without the amp in it!!!

The other guys in the band have started to call it the "Bastard Box" coz it's so heavy!!!

The price you pay for tone I guess!

Peace!!

D

No, I found the Ass end to be perfect actually. I think it was a bit clearer all round! Yeah- bit of a struggle getting the rack up there- I take the lids off to do this-saves about 1/2 a ton ;-) Would def. do itt again tho-sounded better than on ther floor imho.

How's the Squier VM Tele sound with it? PM me if U like-save bastardising this thread-ohh can we say that-mods feel free to swap it 4 'taking over' or similar!

Nah its the ported one, I have it on 2 and it cuts through a Mesa 100 watt Halfie and a Randall 120 watt halfie, its incredible.

Oh and does anyone know where to get a metal grill for the back? Mine didnt come with one and fliptops doesnt have one.

It's going good!!!!

Still tweaking it here and there to get the Darkstar kicking but sofar so good!!!!!

Just not getting a lot of free time to tweak between family, dayjob and gigs I hardly ever get my rig out of the truck!!!

It's seeing plenty of stagetime tho!!
