And Another NBD! Custom G&L SB-2T

Does 2T refer to the tone control - if that's what the 3rd knob is. Factory mod? Thx.
It's V-V-T like a Jazz Bass.
Regular SB-2s have V-V only.

I was not sure of the color, so I checked on Greg's website: Clear Red on Empresswood.
I like the dot-free fingerboard.
Congrats, it's a dream bass.
I'm a SB-2 owner too (ash body in Clear Blue, maple FB).

I am super impressed with the options that G&L offers as standard options. ebony board - sure we'll do that. Flamed top - no problem. Quartersawn neck - you got it. The coolest thing to me is the availability of 3 different nut sizes and spacing. With EBMM reducing the color choices down to 6 it really only leaves G&L with the level of choices and finishes available. I hope they keep it up!!!

Okay so I got it home and showed it to my wife. She asked the usual, "Why do you want another bass?"
I told her why and said I would sell my black J to pay for it. I was told I am not allowed to sell any basses. I can pay for it out of gig

Thanks. The color on the build sheet says Transparent Red. The neck is #8 12 1/2" radius. It is a dream to play. Stayed up way to late last night. The pickups are seriously hot. For my P Select, I had the amp volume (Fender Rumble 25 v3) at 12 o'oclock. Had to crank it back to 9. The empress wood body is really light. I forgot to weigh it in, but I'm guessing only a little over 7 lbs.

STUNNING instument, CONGRATS!

I noticed there's no dots on the fretboard -- did you request that?
No, I bought it used here on TB Classifieds. The seller was @bassfootballguy. Hell of a nice guy. It is a 2015. According to the receipt in the excellent documentation the seller included, it was originally sold in May, 2015 at from Rocket Music in Blacksburg, Virginia. It is a custom build. Whomever had it built requested it. I wasn't sure about that feature, but I think it looks good. There are white dot markers on the side of the neck. I also really like the VVT setup. I spent 2 hours last night just playing with different tone settings. I had bought a set of Rotosound 77s (flats), but now I'm not sure I'm going to put them on.
