Oh also my first vehicle I bought in 8th grade for $600 was a beat up 1966 ford truck. I think that was in 2003 or 2004. It was rusty but trusty. Wish I didnt sell that one as those are my favorite body style of F series Fords.

Yea, the 8 cyl. Is the 120 and the 6 cyl is the 116c - same body. I did get the opportunity to do work on several senior cars too
my dream car! my first car was a 1969 P1800 in black with red vinyl interior. I had high hopes of fixing this 78 262c Bertone into a muscle car with a chevy small block... but never got further than towing it from Arkansas to NJ. Sold it to a long time Volvo mechanic that was going to restore it original condition with his teenage son.
this is as old and as car as I get now... my 93 Blazer. Currently looking for a similar vintage Suburban for the wife.
My high school graduation present was a 1958 Fiat 1200 Transformabile (Roadster). Very fun sports car, and as Italian in character as you can get. I sold it to a collector about six years ago.

When it comes to cars, I think anything over 30 years old is considered vintage these days. Geez....that makes me almost double vintage.

Wow...I would love to have that car today! With that said, over the years I have owned two Fiats. Unfortunately, they were a pain to keep them running.
Love it!! That's one of the most under-appreciated cars that AMC ever built. My godfather had one that was turquoise and black. Really eye-catching cars!
Stewie, I had that Fiat for almost 40 years, but much of the time it was an incomplete project in primer on jackstands. I loved driving it - all of 63 HP, but alpine gearing so the top speed was about 75 MPH. I let it go to someone who could finish it and give it another life.

My dad has a '68 Porsche 4-cylinder 912 that he's had in storage for 40 years. He threw a rod in '76 and never got around to fixing it. It's school bus yellow with pizza-cutter skinny tires. Everyone dreams of finding some obscure low-millage car that's been stashed away for years. I've finally convinced him that we're rebuilding the engine this summer by saying "You're sitting on everyone's dream come true!" But I'm sure every stitch of rubber on the thing is dried out.
