Bridget's been laid up awhile. There's a ferocious clunk amidships, and I'll drive her out of the garage but no farther. Well, maybe up on to the flatbed. The local Volvo guru hasn't been answering my calls for weeks, so I may have to make another plan. Maybe eventually we'll work out the starting / idling issue also. As I said, Bridget's a decent-quality driver. She's not 'restored,' and there's more amiss under that paint than I want to know about. I believe she's a good enough specimen that at some point she'll warrant a restoration, but this is not that time and I am not that person. I consider that my job is to be her caretaker until someone more worthy comes along.
