Not very many BB2025x models out there in that combo - I don't believe this combo was ever officially made available on the market. Could have been a very limited production run or custom/artist build. I was extremely fortunate to find one.

I like black basses but I'm more a fan of rosewood or ebony fingerboards with black.

I have Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay 5 PDN 2014 in Neptune Blue, but it looks like black in bad light conditions. Roasted flame maple neck is georgeous.

I do prefer maple, but I’m not a fan of black and bursts.

My Geddy Lee was traded off very quickly, but that was because of the Jazz body, I liked it otherwise.

I traded it for a burst Sting.... hate the burst and the contoured body. Second best sounding bass I have ever owned.

Nearly all basses have maple necks, at least some maple in them (yes, not all basses do).

The examples suggest that maple fretboard is what the OP is talking about here - and I gotta say, I like many of the examples in this thread!

I had some serious regret about selling my CIJ Geddy Lee, so I recently rebounded (no neck puns intended) with this one.
I sure picked a bad time to get a black bass, though. I’m still working, and the constant hand washing/sanitizing has my hands looking like Ashy Larry’s.
