- I don't wait 30 minutes after eating, to go swimming.
A) Peter Tork was the funniest one...so was ‘Fang’, Bassist for Paul Revere & the Raiders.
I was Never the funny one at that age. Some would note that some things never change.
I still count both as influences...though I never actually owned a bass until 1969.
An older friend/mentor, Tommy Michales, explained ‘buckle rash’ to me early on.
It’s just the way I’ve dressed for almost half a century.
B) Only a Hoser would leave his guitar leaning up against the drums like that...or an amp...or ANY damned thing.

... I am like an umpire or referee. If I do my job right, no one really notices me and the band generally sounds pretty good. But, if I make a mistake, it can throw off the whole thing off.
know that my volume level is just right when the everyone else in the band complains I'm too loud but the mix out front is perfect.
....wish that keyboard players would LEAVE THE BASS PARTS TO US!!!!!
...am responsible for harmony and rhythm, therefore I am clearly the most important member in any band!

I don't know that to be true. I play both guitar and bass. Either way, some women who have never met a musician before are impressed.
... spend every moment while I'm playing thinking of new and musically interesting ways to obfuscate the pocket and confuse the everloving snuff out of the drummer for the sheer joy it brings me when I feel him staring a hole in the back of my head.
