The gig i'm most concerned about, is in a rented movie theatre. It's essentially a backless stage, as the "wall" beneath the screen is actually just a curtain, with a mostly empty space behind it. I wonder how well a rear facing tweeter would work in that space, with no reflective surface behind it.
You still have the primary tweeter facing forward, and the option of tilting, but that's a fair question.
I intend to try placing a reflective surface behind my cab on gigs like that. I'll report back when I get to try it, should be an outdoor one coming up in a few weeks.Sometimes I use a pretty tall 15/6/1 on shows like that -- mine use a separate top box for the 6 and 1.
