AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

I have to admit I love my 1203's but I hardly use them because I love my TC112 v1 more. I would say 80% of my gigs I'm only using my TC112v1 (my band always has PA support). Occasionally on some of the club gigs and all of my outside gigs I will use my TC112v1 with one Hathor 1203.

Sometimes I think about parting with the 1203's and picking up a TC115 (there is one in the classifieds now), but truth is I really only need one cab for the majority of my gigs and the TC112 just does it for me. It truly is a beast of a cab. I honestly can't remember the last time I gigged with just a pair of 1203's. Perhaps I'm just getting old and lazy, and more concerned about getting out of my gig as quick as possible when it's over. I'm usually driving two hours or more, one way that is, for my gigs. So the older I get, the priority of getting out quick has become more important than hanging out drinking a beer. I have even found myself using my Monique700 less and less and just gigging the Mesa Subway D800.

Maybe some day I will revisit them and will probably be thankful I didn't sell them. Who knows?? I guess will see when the next latest and greatest piece of gear comes out! LOL!

I'm still waiting for Duke to complete my Hathor 212. It is his first cab in this configuration so it has taken a little longer than expected. Hopefully it will be done in a few days. I know Duke has been very busy with other obligations too. The anticipation is killing me though!

I'll be using the cab with the new Darkglass 900 amp that I just purchased. My main rig is an Ampeg SVT through a Berg NV610t that really sounds great but is kind of a PITA to take to gigs. All of our gigs have FOH support so I'm thinking I will try the Hathor 212 and Darkglass at our next show. My two guitarist both use Marshall half stacks so I'll be leaving the big rig at the studio to keep up with the loud guitars and taking the Hathor and the Darkglass head to the gig for a much easier load in. I'm sure it will keep up fine.

I'll post up pics once the new cab arrives.

Sounds like the best rig for metal!

I ordered Aug. 12th so hope to hear from him soon as well.
Me? July 15! Lead time was quoted as 6 - 8 weeks. I could be mistaken, but pretty sure my order ( a pair ) and I think your order, will ship sometime during the upcoming week. Keep fingers, toes, etc. crossed. I was careful to keep my LDS cab for the interim so I've been okay, but really looking forward to checking out the AKs.

I received an email from Duke yesterday. He had to order more of the 3012lf speakers for my 212 and another customer's order. He said the 212 would ship out to me on Wednesday.

I spoke to Duke and he is starting a batch Tuesday.

Played at our church fall festival yesterday. I had my tiny amp/cab with tiny disco ball, the drummer had a mini kit, the acoustic guitar had a small amp for monitor and the EG just had a pedal into the PA. It looked like a kid's band setup.

I've done a few gigs now this lineup. We call ourselves Ginny and the Tonics. Guess which one's Ginny.
