Does this mean there is a new 1533 model replacing the 1505 (which replaced the 1544)? If so what are the advantages/benefits of the new high frequency driver config? I believe Duke told me previously that the 5" in the 1505 didn't go as high as the 3" in the 1203 does, so a pair of 3" drivers could allow the 1533 to have a wider frequency response?
I believe he said he'd offer both. I remember the 1505 sounding a lot brighter than a 1203, but the 1533 sounds like its big brother. Same more-balanced tone, just bigger and DEEPER. Great cab for reggae.

No doubt, hanging with Duke is always a great time.
Duke was able to ship my Hathor 212 yesterday. I should receive it on Thursday. I'll post up pics and my thoughts after it arrives. I'll take it to my next band rehearsal on Monday next week to break it in.
Duke said it weighs 43.3 lbs which is probably one of the lightest 212 "Uber" cabs out there.

I just paid the balance on my 1203.
My pair of H1203 cabs shipped 11/7 as promised, should arrive here SF Bay area this week. Yes!

Very interested to hear your impressions! Do you have any experience with some of the other builder's "super" cabs (Greenboy Fearless/Fearful, Barefaced etc.) as a comparison by chance?
No I don't. I've got a Berg HDN 212 as my small cab right now. My main rig is a SVT through a Berg nv610t but I was looking for something smaller that I could do the occasional gig with to run with my Darkglass M900 amp. The Berg 212 is great but the Hathors intrigued me and when Duke said that he could build a Hathor 212 I jumped on the opportunity. I don't think I would ever have a gig with my current band where one single Hathor 1203 would cut it so the 212 should fit the bill.
I have done lots of gigs with just my tc 112. But I guess it depends on who you play with.
And one little Hathor would look pretty funny between two Marshal 4x12's.
I filled in for a band once and between sets they would have a hula hoop contest. I thought it would be kind of silly but everyone really got into it. So I stole the idea and got some hoops. The first gig we did was a wedding. The other guys were telling me it wouldn't fly but one of the little flower girls saw the hoops and kept asking so we did it and everyone enjoyed it. Who knew hula hoops were so handy?

The 4 x 12 is overkill. I am sure he would be jealous if it wasn't for the pa stuff I am hauling as well
