Is there anyway to make an extended range 115 cab using a WHIZZY type cone ? About The size of one of those BAg End S15 cabs? Maybe 18 x 18x 18.. Does Not have to be FLAT . .Just have a good punchy Rock tone .. Maybe go up to 5 k

...and so are the GK MB heads IME. I really like my MB800 with my C12T. While I've not tired the combination, my experience with playing the Aguilar AG700 and Beragntino Forte make me think they would be be equally pleasing.

My so-called "band" is attempting to record ourselves over the next few weeks, and I intend to apply my full low-quality arsenal to the Birdhaus 48 once we get the drum tracks nailed down. I'm sure I'll at least have a few cringe-worthy rig photos, if not actual recorded sounds.

Just for the record, I run my AK TC112 with GK MB500 and MB Fusion 500 heads. I've never been happier with my rig.

Likewise with two Carvin heads (250 and 700). They didn’t sound this good through their old cabs.

My old WT800C lead sled is killing through my H1203 and my C12T tonight. I think the amp is the heaviest bit. Lol.

My Euphonic Audio iAmp Pro is beautiful through my Hathor. I also dug my former Epifani UL902c. Both of those have a lot of low end that is managed well by the Hathor. I was less enamored with my former Epi UL501 and Acoustic Image Focus 3r.

Hey all...I thought I'd share that I'm in the process of re-joining the AudioKinesis club after a long hiatus. I have pretty extensive experience with earlier versions of the TC112 and TC115 and only sold them when I thought I was done playing out for good. Well, that didn't last too long so I ordered some TC112s from Duke! I'm going to try them with the Genzler MG800 and the Mesa Subway 800+, although I'm leaning toward the Genzler because I think it's a bit smoother and cleaner than the 800+. I ordered the cabs with home stereo connectors so when they're not out on a gig they'll be doing double duty as outstanding home stereo speakers.

OF course there will be pics and gig reports when they arrive.

I think I know what your looking for... That big extended bottom but tight. Kind that moves the bottom of your pants. Your going old school. That size is even bigger than the bag end.

I'm going to try them with the Genzler MG800 and the Mesa Subway 800+, although I'm leaning toward the Genzler because I think it's a bit smoother and cleaner than the 800+.

If you're looking for clean, I'd also try to compare them to the Bergantino Forte/B|Amp.

+1...both have a great clean (uncolored) tone that is not at all sterile to my ear. When I played it, I thought the Forte was a simple, easy to use head where Jim made excellent choices in every regard from its inherent voicing/tonal center to the controls and features he included.

I did try out the B Amp...very much in the same territory as the Genzler, a fantastic piece of engineering. It has more features than I would ever use, but I'll add the Forte to the list of possibilities. It's unbelievable how many great choices we have.

So I found one tricky issue with my Birdhaus 4x15. Not sure if this applies to the other variants, but figured I'd share. I've started using the 415 with a project where we get insanely loud. I paired the cab with an Orange Terror Bass 1K and for the first time was able to hear, and feel, what this combo can do to my lower intestines. It's ungodly powerful. Nothing but pure, unadulterated, PBass into my gut and legs. I was dizzy from the experience, honestly. I was running it so hard that the head almost vibrated off of the top of the cabinet. So I devised this mad-max'esque fix. Anchoring two "sushi bar" handles to the outer perimeter of the cab, with the head anchored to them with mini-bungees. I'll be giving this setup the first shakedown tomorrow, but based on the feel while trying to slide and lift the head while bungee'd, I think I just found a very winning combination here. Thanks again for creating this monster cab, Duke!

UPDATE: This works perfectly. We were at full volume again today and not a wiggle. Plus it looks bad to the bone all strapped down.

Well that's one way of doing it. As for me, I'd have just got some of that rubber no-slip kitchen cabinet liner and cut a piece big enough to go under your head.

The head actually bounced off of the cabinet. No slipping occurred. This thing is thunder in a box.
