I have sleep apnea as well and use a cpap now, man that thing has made my life better, I feel for you Duke, glad to hear from you.
Yeah it took me a good year to get it all working well.Took me YEARS to get used to a CPAP machine. Now, I couldn't function without it.
And, not all machines and head pieces are created the same. Find a setup that works for you.
Do elaborate on this, please. How do you like the YBA-100 with the Hathor? In general? How's it compare (if you've gotten to play one) with, say, a V4-B?This could qualify for one of them mini rigs of doom I reckon.

In another note (since there's been some discussion of CPAPs and related), by no means do I presume to speak for Duke (or any of those living with sleep apnea or using a CPAP), but he did mention "central sleep apnea," specifically, which (per my minutes of reading) differs from the more common "obstructive sleep apnea." It's not clear to me that a CPAP would necessarily be helpful for the former... but then it's not clear to me that it wouldn't...
Nice to see you back Duke! - a wonderful re-entrance, full of Class. ...Thus far the CPAP machine has been disappointing. I won't say that it hasn't helped at all, but it hasn't helped much.
How do you like that setup? Which tube set are you using? This could qualify for one of them mini rigs of doom I reckon.
