Avocado!!!

This is a thread to share your love of Avocado. Living in California, avocado makes its way into a lot of local cuisine. I've actually had more exposure to avocado in Mexican food up here in NorCal than when I lived in SoCal. I'm a BIG fan, its a wonderful addition to sandwiches, tacos and burritos.

Mmmmmm, here in the UK avocado isn't all that common, but it is a very nice international jet-setting fruit

it's the pit. Goes for most pit foods. Not that you'd waste good avo on dog food.

ah, sour cream. This probably belongs in the unpopular opinions thread, but to my taste buds, sour cream ruins anything it touches. Guac wit sc sounds awful.

We do not use sour cream in ours.

I use yogurt, creme fraiche, sour cream, buttermilk, or none of the above, depending on what's handy. My wife sometimes makes all of those with locally bought unprocessed milk, FWIW.

I love avacacos too. I can eat one by itself. Hass is my favorite variety. Used to pick them from a neighbors tree when I was a kid in Long Beach.
