The real issue for me would be there's only one volume knob? For two different pickups? Sounds like a bad idea.
Or two volume knobs, but no tone knob. Better, but also not great in my opinion.
Hi. A local seller offered me a weird p bass with a stingray pickup near the neck. Should I purchase it? It is very cheap but i don't really know if it's a real fender as the seller claims. Here are some photos. Thank you all.
Dude, that is a pretty cool looking bass. If it's very cheap I would just buy it and not worry about it. I'm imagining, that with that neck pickup one would be able to produce some insanely thick tones and low end.Hi. A local seller offered me a weird p bass with a stingray pickup near the neck. Thank you for your answers. Do you recommend me to buy this or a normal Squier Jazz as a backup bass? I don't have the chance to test the one in the picture so it might be a risky purchase.

Well I don't know... If someone squirted lemon juice in your eyes, smacked you in the face, and then rode past it on a moped going 78 MPH, it could look like a Stu Hamm. lolSquier jazz is a better bet. This thing looks sad all around.
I think the first knob is stacked. I assume volume for each pickup?
