Balsamico - A Food Diary

Last night was St. Louis style ribs on the grill. This morning, I started a large pot of my pasta sauce, lots of tomatoes, oregano, garlic, onion, spices and, to lighten it up for the warm weather, some white wine. Letting a couple dozen sweet Italian sausage simmer in that all day... gonna be a great dinner tonight over angel hair pasta

Cardiologist ordered.:meh:

BTDT. Finally settled on a single shot a day of high test. And now I've finally got my mountain bike up and running again, and even a few days of wimpy pedaling seems to be making a huge difference. I've heard barista's at Starbucks call a Stupendo Grande quadruple decaf latte with Jah knows what kind of sugar-free flavor added a "Why Bother?"

Just came back from a nice Rhode Island lunch ... steamers and a stuffie

Rhode Island has all kinds of weirdo names and dishes, which I love. Last time I was visiting my brother there I also caught a TB GTG. The host catered in a bunch of tomato pies. Good times.

But the big question is: which type of Lobstah Rolls? I grew up in CT, so you know how I Roll.

Hot dog bun, toasted with butter, lined with shredded lettuce then filled with Lobster mixed with a bit of mayo, & finely diced onions & celery with a bit of paprika
CT, huh? You eat everything while wearing a monocle and wipe your mouth with hundred dollar bills? :roflmao:

Ah, Mass/Maine style then. This is a proper CT lobster roll. Hot claw meat, butter, lemon, hot dog bun. That's it, everything else is fluff. I'm no food snob, except for that and New Haven pizza.

Hardly, but my family were the black sheep in a gated community filled with summer cottages owned by Hartford insurance company types. The only other winter resident kids were relatives of that one famous actress...seriously.
