I was on Martha’s Vineyard a few years back and the oysters and clams were just stupid good.Quickie two day road trip the the OR coast. First stop was Pacific Seafoods in Bay City OR. This truck was just pulling up outside the facility when we got there:

So yeah, fried oysters it is then. The place is run by Japanese and Portuguese families IIRC. In any case, it's quick, not all that expensive, and just plain fab. The do their own cocktail sauce, their own panko, and shuck your order on the spot if you're ordering shooters. They've really upped their game on the fried ones too, and they were already great before that. Two full meals and a soft drink for under 30 bucks, what's not to like.
Then we drove down to the insanely popular Tillamook Creamery, which opened a new visitor center last year. It used to take forever to just get a simple ice cream cone, and they always tried to make you do the full tour first. Now there's an express service bar option outside the building, which took less than five minutes from walking up to walking away. Blood orange and cream waffle cones were our choice, think much creamier Creamsicle with a cone and you'd be close. The new gift shop is rocking a good craft beer selection, including Black Butte Porter, several boutique hard cider selections, and a bunch of very decent wine labels. Tourist trap to top shelf is a good look!

Awesome, about the Meatstroke! Sorry to hear about the AshdownSierra Nevada Brut IPA. Done with cooking for the week. A good wind down after a late show and an early morning. The Meatstroke was awesome last night; sounded great. Unfortunately, I think my Ashdown is about to die.

I wish I could afford it. As it stands I have a good price on a Gene Benz Shuttle 9.0 so I will likely go that route. I will also take my beloved Ashdown to my amp tech and have it looked at.Awesome, about the Meatstroke! Sorry to hear about the Ashdown
Maybe it's time to head over to the dark side

Good luck on the job, brother!Final job interview went well today. I’m off tomorrow so I’m having a Sierra Nevada BIPA and will follow later with a glass of Old Forester Bonded.
Happy incoming NAD Day!Oh, I also bought a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 today.
That old line? It’s in the mail.
Still senior living but another, much larger company. In theory it will be less cooking responsibilities and more oversight. So a step up.Good luck on the job, brother!Whatchya lookin' to move into?
