to absent mindedly play little mini solos between songs live,or while other band members are trying to work out a passage in rehearsal.....usually one is distracting enough but usually more than one other band member decides to "noodle"too and very little gets accomplished in the dinI am sorry for the noob question I am about to ask, but what does it mean to "noodle"?
Can't believe no one has mentioned-
The pianist who pounds out the ROOT note with with their Left Hand.
...and the related-
The Guitarist who insists on playing every voicing in ROOT position.

Guys that walk in and scream play Rush
Guys that get mad when their chick is hitting on me
Guys that interrupt me when I'm hitting on a chick.
When the singer, guitar player's GF/wife shows up and plays the entire night to her.
70's haircuts
Being the only bass player on jam night
Bandmates that say I'm gay, to hit on a chick (btw, I'm nothing to look at)
Musicians that spend more time on their hair and clothes than practice
Hottest chick in the room talking to me because she thinks I'm safe
Song writers, managers, studio guys, producers, soundmen, guitarists, singers, or anybody else telling me how to play a bass line I came up with.
I feel better now.

The other day I saw a JesusFish being eaten by a bigger fish called "Truth." Almost drove into a ditch, I was laughing so hard.
1."Hey, why is your guitar little? It only has four strings."
2.Drummers that NEVER have their own money. Is there one that DOES?
3a.Helping haul in & set up everyone else's crap, then everyone magically disappears when you need to get yours.
3b.When you finally get your gear onstage, the rest of the band thinks it's time to play. Nevermind the fact that you still have to plug in your amp, get out your bass, tune up, etc. "Why do you always take so long, dude?"![]()
4. Guitar Center. Well, that's not fair. Guitar Center employees. The ones who know "everything" because they work at Guitar Center. I once pointed out a bad volume pot on a $4200 Pedulla. I kid you not, the response: "Well, no, see, this bass is a lot better than anything you've ever touched; and these things here are called 'knobs' and they like, change the sound and ****. You just don't know how it works 'cause it's like really high-tech and ****." And that was the manager.
5. I know it's been said before, but the price of bass strings.
6.Trying to relearn how to play with no feeling in two of my fingers. (had a little booboo)
Hugh, I know, my life is rough. You have to have this happen to you to know what I mean. She's waiting for her BF/hubby, and doesn't want to be hit on.
2. Bass players who NEVER take their eyes off the fretboard.
3. Bass players who just "stand there".

I hate cheap piezo acoustic guitars. Especially at open mic nights. You go to the pub and some earnest wee Jeff Buckley dude is singing a half dozen identical songs about how his girlfriend left him. Fair enough. But why do we have to get the really trebley slightly clippy guitar sound to go with it? Its the worst playing style (down up down up) and it sounds worse with a cheap piezo bridge in tow.
