I'll check the forum out. I cannot find any references to anyone using that product with the XR yet and it was even brought up earlier in this thread (post #230) where it was posted that it wasn't possible:

"You can program it all you want but it will only control apps that have MIDI via Bluetooth support. AFAIK none of the Behringer X-Air apps do."

Is there a way to reset certain effects back to factory defaults? I know that I can go into each effect and reconfigure them, but honestly, all of those controls make my eyes glaze over.
Would a reset on the board be the only route here? I hate to lose everything I have saved already, but we've only been using this for a few weeks. So, I guess it wouldn't be that big of a deal.
I'm really loving this board. Although, it's a whole new world for me.

Can't you save all settings to scenes and write them to USB stick? You can on all the X32 series.. Guess I need to RTFM ?

PS: See section "5.11 Shows" in the OM for iPad, "6.11 snapshots" in OM for Android and "7.12 Snapshot Page" in OM for PC?

Um...yeah. I didn't know about that. This digital thing is so much to learn for us. I will look into that. Thanks for sharing that info with me. So far, we've only learned the very basics to run shows. I'm trying to get a local sound guy to come over and help us out with this thing, but until then, we are mostly just winging it.

Here's a few pics. Nothing fancy but completely functional. I had to add the labels because our singer could never remember if the lit LED meant it was muted or unmuted. :D

The board is held in place with a piece of double-sided tape (shown) and a piece of foam on the back cover that lightly compresses onto it (not shown). I wanted it fairly easy to remove in case I ever wanted/needed to reprogram it. Same reason for the longish wires. You need to access the USB port to do so but I did not want to try and hack a rectangular hole into the side for the port. Probably not the way a pro builder would do it but it works. I have not needed to remove the board it for any reason though. So if it ever does come loose I probably just hot glue it in place like the LED.

This was a rewarding little project and as I said it does exactly what I needed.

I'll pm the shopping list and other info to you so as to not clutter up the thread any further.

That's wrong. The IK app reads the bluetooth, and sends out core midi
Route midi in ios just like you do now.

I bought it directly from Music Group/Behringer eBay store with full three year warranty. It looked brand new in an original box. Only way to tell it wasn't new was power cord bag had been opened and box was re-taped. It also had a very old firmware. I've been running it day/night as a sound interface on my computer to check it out before I try it with my current band.

The only problem now is I want those Turbosound speakers to wire just with ultranet...

My church has the Turbosound iQ15's as mains, with an iQ18B as a sub. Great sounding system. Stays clean and sweet even when stupidly loud. If I had the money, I'd get a pair of the 12's with a 15 inch sub- I could fit it all in my sedan along with my bass gear. Soundman goals...

a little reminder that ultimately the XR18 is an android device.

i recently wrangled an ipad mini with high hopes of making it my universal personal monitor mixer, figuring it had apps for all the different digital mixers out there.

well, it turns out the x-air app for ipad mostly sucks, especially for personal monitor use. even though my monitors with this band are set up as a linked stereo mix, the ipad has no ability to pan my individual monitor channels. i can pick my left or my right channel, and the channel faders adjust the level in both sides, but that's it. it also shows me a screen with a bunch of extraneous stuff on it (main level, EQ and comp stuff, mute buttons) all of which would wreck the out front mix if i accidentally touched them.

i guess it's back to my $75 samsung galaxy tab 4 7", which will run x-air Q, an app that works perfectly for tweaking my own monitor mix (including panning control).

Behringer programming on the iOS side does seem to be a bit weak... no iPhone app either.

You are just trying to pan stuff between a linked pair of aux sends? You can do that. Look at the send page for the input you are trying to pan. If you have a pair of the aux sends linked the fader should be wider and have a pan control above it.
