FWIW, Folks, this is the bag that fits correctly. I tried the the two other bags (and returned them) that cats are using, and both of those were much bigger than needed. The only issue with this bag is that the one external pocket that Gator put on the bag was designed more for looks than capacity. But, a speaker cable will JUST fit in it. The power cord fits in the bag in front of the amp, and all is good.

The HPF feature on the B/amp would really compliment that wonderful low end extension of the AE212. The only thing that would be better would be TWO AE212 and the Bergantino B/Amp. Go for it!!!!

I tend to cross fire them rather than stack; but, yes DEFINITELY.

[Edit] OK, I hooked up BOTH AE212's and can verify that the B|Amp drives them quite well. The fan comes on full time when 2 ohm operation is selected. One really cool thing the amp seems to do is sense the impedance and notify the player as to what impedance setting is currently selected at startup. Pretty nice.

I'm not sure I would choose to run the amp at 2 ohms for big gigs (I have other options); but, this just may be the most portable SVT equivalent rig I've ever seen.

Just a quick note ... I ran my BAmp with a 2 ohm load for a 5 hour outdoor gig a couple of weeks ago. No issues whatsoever.

This version has the following changes/upgrades to version 1.2, which is the version that was shipped with all the amps to date.

1. Tone Control gains on home screen are now in 0.5db increments instead of 1db increments.

2. Added a new program menu item, "Tone Control Q Select", which now allows you to select between a wide, medium, or narrow Q for the tone control filters. Version 1.2's Q is wide for reference purposes.

3. When saving a bright engage to Mem1 or Mem2 along with tone control settings, it currently only saves whether or not bright is enabled, not the actual frequency and gain. This means it would always load the currently selected bright filter parameters into the DSP with any mem recall, which may or may not have been the ones you intended when saving the settings to one of the mem locations in the first place. In rev 1.3, it will save the frequency and gain of the bright filter at the same time as all the tone filter parameters, allowing you to have two different bright settings in each Mem location for different instruments or tonal preferences.

4. Lowers temperature threshold approx. 10% to engage fan. BTW, it's not uncommon not to have the fan turn on during normal operation.

5. Found and eliminated a software bug in the micro-controller's software library which may have occasionally caused the UI to lock up for some players requiring a power recycle.

6. Eliminate any potential popping noise when Mute is engaged.

You will need a FAT32 formatted thumb drive to install the upgrade into your B|AMP.

OK, Jim, is it "later this month" yet [he asked expectantly]? I am completely pumped to see the new user interface with the overdrive.

If you think I'm a noodge now, wait until I compile my list of other cool things for the amp, like Bluetooth control of programming through my iPad as you mentioned above! If a limiter is already in it, is a compressor a possibility?

Still gigging it 3-4 times/wk. Still loving it!

I played a fun one last weekend, and the B|Amp and my two HT-112ER cabs sleighed. Full, fat, clear, and biting... it just sounds so good.

I butchered the descending line near the end of the first two verses on this tune, but otherwise this a pretty decent representation of my stage tone that night. I'm not sure there's much bass in the house mix on this one, what you're hearing from the bass is mostly my stage rig. It was early in the night, and our sound guy was wrestling with an unfamiliar iPad-based mixer. He eventually brought me up in the house so that I was able to turn down on stage.


I've got two gigs this weekend, but both of them are gigs where I run direct. Sadly, no amp needed onstage. :(

Sounds pretty darn good to me! I love the crowd getting into it. They seem to be having a blast.

Yeah, it was a pretty awesome gig. It's pieces of two bands that have both played around the area for 30 years each (The Kind and The Electric Woodshed). I've spent time in both bands, though mostly the Woodshed. Anyway - neither band could play the party in their full incarnations, so we grabbed 3 members from each band to salvage the gig. We picked a bunch of tunes from each band's repertoire, had one rehearsal, and then winged it from there. It was a hoot, lots of good energy. Lots of mistakes, too, but the fun more than made up for it. LOL

My last comment is that this version of the band(s) needs to play together again. You put together some chocolate and peanut butter here.

I don't think I've asked you yet what your EQ settings were on the B|Amp? I know, everybody has different basses and is a different room, etc., but I'm very interested in what people are doing. In the Berg rig thread, I just saw that Doug was using his bright, which I've never done with mine. He said he had it at 10K, which I found very interesting.

If people would kindly put down the settings they've been using successfully, I'd like to see them.

To start off, I've been using +.5 bass @ 60Hz, +1.5 lomid @ 140 Hz, +1.0 himid @ 1.6, and flat. I have the HPF at the default 40.

This is all for my Sadowsky fretless through the HDN 112, for a very round, traditional kind of tone down below but still with some definition higher up. This is what I've been using for my musicals, because it's faking something between an upright or an old Fender, depending on the song.
