Bergantino's Vertical 410!!!!!

While I was thinking of vibration, there's also the "T-top" problem Wasnex was talking about, and the weight.
My SVT-CL might never make it to the top of my fridge again. But it seems very comfortable on the floor.

If I owned this NV410T I, myself, would not need to put an SVT or my HIWATT clone on top.
I usually play through a pair Genz Benz GB1288T-UQs. Per the specs, the stack is 2" shorter than an Ampeg 810E. I can still lift my tube amps to the top, but it's a pretty challenging lift. Also, I have had an Aguilar DB751 and EBS T-90 sitting on top of the cabs for over a year now. With over 60 amps, it's hard to find convenient places to stack all of them. Many of my amps have set positions where power and a speakON is convenient. But I have over 10 tube amps that I shuttle in and out of the room.

I found a fairly nice small folding table that I use for the tube amps I move in and out of playing position. The table is rated for 200lbs.

The listing I bought from on Amazon is no longer live, but here is what the table looks like.

Last time I searched, I found a table that appears identical under a different listing. I chose folding in case I ever decide to gig again, which is unlikely.

The one design factor I wonder about is the form factor; specifically the width. My impression is the all-tube advocates are the ones most likely to want a sealed cab. The width of this cab will result in a T-top with pretty much any higher powered all-tube amp I can think of. Probably the narrowest giggable tube amp in my collection is an Orange AD200B MkIII, which is about 21.5" wide compared to 18.5" for the NV410. You also get a T-top if you use an older rack-mount head. No problems with one of the modern compact Class-D heads or lower powered tube heads like the Ampeg PF50T or Ashdown LB30.
I immediately thought of the Shaw B-150 all tube head, whose dimensions would work, but it looks like you'd have to find one used (a rare bird indeed) as I checked their website and it no longer appears on their product list.
I heard some really good reports of the tone of it, but that was years ago.
You could get Arkham to whip you up almost anything you could imagine, he's a wizard!

Mesa prodigy would work well.

I do love Bergantino cabs, and I'm certain the NV410t sounds great, but this is going in the opposite direction of my playing needs.

For the record, all my cabs are Bergs. I currently own/gig CN112, CN212 or an NV212t. I have owned an NV610t in the past. All great cabs for sure.

Currently (and for the past few years) I pretty much use one of the 212 cabs, and recently the CN112 is starting to get most of the gigs. This is because:
- I'm doing a reasonable number of backline provided gigs, so I don't use my own amp/cab at all.
- I'm going into FOH and just using a small cab (CN112) mostly as a stage monitor
- I'm working on going cab-less and IEM as often as I can (it's only about 25% right now, but I'm really working on this).

While the NV410t is actually a smaller option for NV610 (or NV215 or NV412 I guess) or even 8x10 fridge users, it just does not fit my needs.

hope you all enjoy the new NV410t though!

Big cabs have in effect a built-in hand cart with a fixed handle, like a fridge or this NV410T.
A telescopic handle keeps it from being too short, like a 410HLF.
I just remembered that there is a cab or combo that's like this (a Phil Jones?). EDIT: Phil Jones C8.
An important difference is that a head (tube especially) should have fatter/cushier tires.

I don't want to distract from this important thread.
It was mentioned that big tube heads hang off of a narrow cab (which sounds like a negative of a narrow cab for some people).
In defense of the cab I said "yeah, it's unfortunate that we feel bound to put it up there". In other words, if we don't like the T-top we could leave the amp elsewhere.
This is all I meant to say and all I really wanted to say.

thou shalt not pair a head with a cab if said head is wider than the cab. 🤣

pretty sure the 8th commandment.
Then I'll see y'all in hell. I'll be at the bar :p.

TBH I didn't find that the Meatsmoke paired particularly well with the NXT212, and I probably won't run that combo again. That amp wants a sealed and tweeterless cab.
My Aguilars DB359 and TH500, on the other hand, both sound amazing with the NXT!

So while some of you are trying to determine if it's too tall, to narrow, not wide enough, or too heavy, just wanted to give you a quick PSA and let you know we only have 2 left.

Ballpark ETA? I'm not in a huge hurry, but I go on a 2 week vacay in early September and I'd like to be around to accept delivery!
