Best phaser for bass

I like the EBS DPHASER. I know it digital but it sounds so sweet. Its small and doesn't take to much room and it has many sound options. For a phaser it is a little expensive. I paid about 190.00 on a sale. I think its worth it.
I like my old Phase 45 but I`d like a stomp box that didn`t use a 9 volt.
I also have a Soundblox BEF that has 2 phaser settings. I`m having a hell of a time trying to dial in a phase effect I like tho. I`ve pretty much given up on using the BEF for phase settings and just use it for the filters.
Also narrowing down my options is the fact that I`m stuck using Musician`s Fiend to buy a pedal due to having little free cash on hand combined with having a credit card for them.
So right now I`m looking at snagging either a:
MXR Phase 90
Grand Orbiter
Malekko Phaser
Moore Ninety Orange
Small Stone
There are a few other pedals that I like(moog) but I`m keeping my spending below $200.
Other than the Grand Orbiter,my choices are on the smaller side which saves space on my board,always a bonus.
I had been thinking about the Boss PH-3 but something changed my mind.
I`m hoping that my final choice works well across the spectrum of bass, Bass VI and standard guitar.

I'm currently using a phase 90 but I have a phase 99 on the way it should be twice as cool right.
Nope, just 10% cooler.
Mine needs to be about 20% cooler...so I'm going to wait for the Phase 108
Well damn that's a ripoff must be kind of like the doubling your wattage thing for amps. Here I was thinking two phase 90s would be twice as cool but it's only 10% more:/Nope, just 10% cooler.
Plus it was free cause I won a contest so I guess I can't complain at all.10% more can still make all the difference.
After checking out a few more demo`s I think I`ve settled on the Moore Ninety Orange. For me,the pedal has the best ratio of sounds,cost,quality and small size. Plus I might even have a few bucks left over to snag something else.
Ugh I hate you! Haha just kidding. Please report back with a review though. I've tried many phasers, and none have beaten the phase 90 off my board. This one looks like it might.
Ok first thing out of the box no more boring flat orange this thing has a sweet metallic sparkle shiny orange finish. The controls take a moment to get used to but set at the most basic level its sounds like it has more phase effect than a regular phase 90. I didn't get to play with it for very long but was able to mess with all the function except two amp stereo setup. You can get some quite crazy sounds from this thing and the vintage switch is a nice feature cause it actually takes some of the edge off and gets a more subtle sound if you don't need or want crazy. I was able to dial in sounds that would be usable musically very easy and this will definitely find a place on my board the only draw back and maybe I haven't played with it enough yet is it seems to lake the ability to do one phase 90. If it had that sound it would kick the 90 off my board and maybe I will figure it out the more I play with it. Bottom line so far very cool pedal can do crazy sounds and musical phasing but may be and additional phase and not a 90 killer.
Hope that helps ask me any more questions and I will do my best to answer and I hope to get some more time with this thing soon maybe I'll learn some tricks.

Best I ever used is the old Maestro PS-1A. three speeds, the low and high matching Leslie speeds (complete with the Leslie ramping up and down in speed).

These phasers are intended to be more "filter-like". They are good for what they are, but limited.
The Orbital was has our phasers which are intended to used with bass in true phaser applications. If you search Smeet's posts you can see the results of the Orbital in a blind test with other popular phasers he did last year.
Ah....I see! It never even crossed my mind that the phaser settings would have a tinge of filter mixed in there. Even tho I should have,it is a filter pedal after all!
Thank you for that tidbit of info! I was getting frazzled trying to get a phase sound I liked but now it makes sense. lol
I was thinking about the SoundBlox Orbital when I first started to look for a phaser but it was lost in the shuffle and I forgot to look into one a bit more.
I don`t recall reading anything super negative about it other than one dude saying that all the setting were cool but not useful in a live setting.
Lots of folks say that about lots of effects tho. Not sure why that had an impact on me.
What makes it stand out to you?

hey thanks for the in depth review. Saw the video as well. I need to research on the controls do get a better idea with how it works. I have a Zoom MS 50G and in there last update they added a dual phaser effect which I love. But yeah my main concern is if it can be dialed down to just get a basic original phase 90 sound. I did like how it seems to be able to get a rate slower then the basic phase 90. I have a phase 100 as well and although cool what I like about the 90 is the boomy super low kinda of a boost you get. Some people complain about that but I love it. Does the 99 still retain that super low boomyness as the 90 or was it tamed down?
Juan got alot of cool sounds but I want to say some of the samples he was playing maybe some reverse delayed loops, since I doubt this pedal alone was making those reverse sounding samples. If it did though....MIND BLOWN! But did seem very versatile. Damn it I know I'll have to get one at some point now. Like if I didn't already have enough phasers lol
This Phase99 it´s awesome!
It seems that it was not so harder for dialing at first sight. Of course that it isn´t gonna be so simple for setting as the Phase90, but I think that the 99 has pretty nice and usable sounds. Maybe I´ll don´t use it for playing classic blues, but in some musical underground context I´d take it with no doubt. I liked the mostly tones from this 99, specially the kind of sounds "reverse phase" in the timings of the 2:23, 3:30 and 4:27.
