Biking '10 part 2

Back to repair stands- I have a bench-mount Park clamp(meant to bolt onto a benchtop, hence the name)that I bolted to a length of 4x6 stud; I'll clamp that into the end vice of my workbench, pull it(the bench)out out at an angle & voila: Instant bike shop.
Pics one of these days...

Yes, but that will usually get you verbally abused roadie arenas. :)
I've said for years that the industry needs more people like Grant active in it, if for no other reason than give the rest of us the occasional reality check. He's one of the geekiest bike-geeks I've ever met, but he does know what he's talking about, and back when B/stone was alive and viable a LOT of the industry listened to/looked at what Grant and Co were doing...they just didn't let it be known all the time.

...the end vice...
That's gotta be one big-mutha of a vise....

Directly below the BMX hanging up, facing down, is the workbench; the vice is at the right end.

I have a PCS1 too , got for dirt cheap , bought the little wheel truing kit that bolts on it (Can't remember the name)
What's nice about it is that it doesn't take much place if you are in a tight place.

Wind... Ridin' in the gorge you get nothing but... It's an easy day if the wind doesn't shift mid ride...

My stand is an old wrench force that collapses for storage. I've had it since the mid 90's so begs the question - what's cheap... I think I spent $125 back then.
