I've used octave, flanger, chorus, envelope filter, micro synth and overdrive's all with good results.Waiting for 14F-049X!
Anyone have experience with Cortos and effects? Any particularities?

Greetings, Birdsong bassists. This past Thursday I purchased Shortbass 14-0620, which will be an unlined fretless with walnut body. I really enjoyed talking to Scott and looking and reading through his own website. He and I both love old cars and trucks, and probably talked about them as much as we discussed my new Shortbass.
What did Scott tell you it weighed?
We are talking about the next build and we are trying to work out a build under 7 lbs.
Scott will give you the exact weight if you ask.
Based on the 'x', I'm assuming your fusion has a different pickup. If it's the delano, I'll let you know how it handles effects when mine arrives. My other three have been fine with effects. My amps, speakers and settings have been a bigger difference.
Its got the Corto pickups in it. Scott recommended them for their wide tonal abilities.
What were the changes in amp/speaker/settings?
I primarily play through a B15 or V4 into 15" cabs and slightly change settings for my P and J basses.
Hey, alceex38, are you in charge of numbers? Can I get one? 12C245R in the works!
She arrived last Thursday, well packed (I sprang for the hardshell TKL case) and with a great setup. I am really impressed with the tone from the D'Addario ECB82 (.050 - .105) Chrome flatwounds and Lace pickup. No hum whatsoever (Scott must shield it well). Very nice neck - plays "like butter". Does a Shortbass qualify for a club number? Serial #14-0620.
Absolutely!

I've definitely found situations where that pickup configuration hummed, but you throw in enough florescent bulbs or play in the worst-wired building in DC and I'm convinced even an unplugged acoustic bass would find a way to give me 60 cycle hum. I love that neck pickup - especially for fretless.
