Im just curious, would you happen to know the model of the Lace humbuckers used in the birdsongs? My sadhana has one, my corto has the emg select.

I just put a couple EMG Selects (which, BTW, are VERY economical as pickups go) in my ZZ Ryder and WHAT A DIFFERance it made in the sound from the cheap humsomethings that were in it... It will remain as my "play at the football games and stuff" bass when I do not want to use 8C-117 in the weather n stuff...

Yeah well, I *thought* i read that on the site but now i can't find it :) I was just curious as he seems to be using a different set of pickups than Lace has on their website (just by sight- I'm guessing Lace has just tweaked the logos on the pickups themselves since Scott obtained his large batches, or something like that).

Ahh you're right Leex, he did say the Punchbucker was a further refinement on the EMG select. But that he also sometimes substitutes a mild Lace humbucker for the Punchbucker. Let us know what happens if you substitute in one of those hot Lace ones!

For most of the song I'm running through a synth patch I made on my AX3000B and clean through the verses. Humbucker soloed with the varitone on bypass in both cases.

The keyboardist is using a microKORG. It's a cool lil unit with a built in vocoder.

Talked to Scott today.

My order: 1 pc maple body, two pickups, chrome hardware, standard tone control

I told him I wanted a workingman's shortscale bass with great clarity and flexibility.

Sending payment next week, maybe I'll get my model number then.:hyper:

Should be here in April/May
