Bizarre things people say during practices

I still don't know what those roman numerals sequences mean, I probably could look it up on the interwebs. See I don't know any theory but I also don't try to pretend I know what people are talking about.

The Roman numerals correspond to the note of the scale, since it's in C, the I chord is C, the IV chord is F, and the V chord is G. The C major scale is C( I ), D( II ), E( III ), F( IV ), G( V ), A( VI ), B( VII ). After the B, there's another C, which is one octave higher than the I.

In spite of trying to repress it, I remembered this gem:

Singer: Hey, you should play with a bow on this one.
Me: Its a bass guit...
Singer: Lots of guys do it!

Paraphrased. It was longer. Stupider. He was always telling me I need to buy things. A double bass bow, a cabinet mic because everyone knows direct in, "sucks." He didn't understand the word, "no."

I was jamming in a band with a naive female vocalist and when she leaned close enough to the monitor one day, it caused feedback. The keyboardist says to her to watch out for the monitor and she says (as she puts the mic right up to the monitor) "You're supposed to be able to do that !"

Playing "Hollywood Nights" (Seger)....something is terribly off. I see the guitarist is playing in E MINOR

me: Dude...the song is in E major, NOT E minor

guitarist (irritated): Well there's so much bass that I was trying to brighten it up!
