I gotta say I'm liking the other compressors too, they add some nice character to the sound.

I'm using the orange at the start of the chain, then an X-bass after my fuzz and od on my dirty channel. Seems to work pretty nicely, then again so does the master FX "metal" option.

Can you get a 4th FX block on the core or is that just on the full version?

So far, just on the big brother! Which kinda sucks. I’d rather have one more FX block than all the delay blocks.

I'd swap out the Reverb and all the delays for an FX block, given how expensive the Reverb is though I'm sure you could squeeze a couple of FX blocks in for the lot.

I was thinking yesterday that for most of my patches the Reverb, Chorus, 5 delays, 1 Preamp and one of the cab sims are completely unused... Such a waste of potential signal processing power.

Ha! Thanks for that. Never noticed it, but I hardly use the effects editor on the unit. Looks like a 6 segment meter when the threshold and attack are set to 0, and the ratio set to INF:1. Very interesting.

There is a meter but only when you have the compressot selected in the editor / pedal menu.

Its enough, you only really need it when setting the threshold.

For those of you who use the core with an external midi controller like a Morningstar, how do you pair a particular user preset to a specific bank? Ie, u001 is connected to bank 1, then when I switch to u002, it will automatically update to bank 2. Anyone know?

I bought the CORE to replace my pedalboard and wasn't interested in putting it on a board. I thought it would fit in my gigbag and make an easy carry. Well, it doesn't fit well in the pocket so I looked for a small padded bag for it. I ordered a World Tour 8x6.5x3.5 directly from their website. it is perfect and I can't figure out how their financial model works. The bag was 19.95 with free shipping. it arrived across country in 3 days.

Started using the GTCore as a USB audio interface instead of going through a seperate interface. Looking at using a dual audio interface setup once I figure to how to do it. Connected my studio monitors to it for direct monitoring. I think it sounds better and feels like it has a quicker latency. You get access to the 6 channels, 2 Main Out, 2 Dry, 2 Sub Out. But what's blowing my mind is the Reamping feature...

Are you generally using those or tend to just use the cabs provided by the GT1K?

I also own a product called MCabinet MCabinet which can be used to completely tweak the IR's themselves... create from scratch algorithmically, or start with an actual IR and tweak it into a new IR. With only 16 IR slots in the GT1k though, I guess I would still want to use or create rather general use IR's anyway...and then like you said..use EQ for each patch according to song need.

I’ve got a bunch of third party IR’s, but I keep going back to a combination of the GT’s 2x15, 8x10, and Output EQ. Sounds good to me.

MCabinet looks interesting. Nice one.

Just picked up the RedWirez Bass Big Box for $9.99. Holy crap the Aguilar DB115 cab in that set is incredible sounding in my GT1000!!

Makes me want to get an actual Aguilar Cab! It sounds really incredible.

Pardon if this has been asked, but is it possible to make the Headphone out and regular/ mono out operate at the same time? When something is plugged into the mono out, it makes the stereo headphone output Left headset only. I know this isnt a huge deal, but can things be re-rerouted to have both on and fully functional?
