What is meant with 'livesets'. A patch is a patch, doesn't matter if it's placed in a 'set' or not ? Clearly I am misunderstanding something here ? Is the idea that a set of patches work well together because of level matching or something ?
Liveset just means a group of patches. But a Liveset could be 1 or 20. You create the Liveset in Tone Studio, export it and share it. And now you can upload to the Boss Exchange website. You can import Livesets into Tone Studio also. Once you’ve imported it, you transfer each patch into a User Preset. The only accurate way to level match the Liveset is using a peak meter in a DAW for each patch.
I was reading the SY 1000 reference manual and noticed the bass amp models. I know this was mentioned early but I clean forgot about it. Surely these extra bass amp models in the SY 1000 will become available in the GT 1000/Core in the future... Strange they're not included now. Gonna make some enquires.

Just sharing my current stomp mode. Off the screen I have the PEQ no boosting anywhere just low mid 500 with a 4q and 1.6 high mid 4q. Then low cut 50 sometimes 40 if I wanna do reggae or RnB and high cut at 5k
That GK amp model will make me seriously regret my Master Effects super 800+ purchase if it’s any good
Why ? It will be a perfect back-up and it is something with 'what-you-see-is-what-you-get' control, a perfect tool for onstage use when you need to play on an unfamlliar bass amp ! To me it makes perfect sense to have a physical pre-amp combined with the Core 
I want this update so bad. Even though I'm using a SLO in the loop, if love to have a bassman in the Core.

This is true although I’m on a very limited budget so that could’ve gone towards something else shiny I do love the GK sound, having a 800rb style aird preamp and my GK Fusion S head is probably enough to cover off a lot of tonal possibilities though. It’d be cooler to have something else really different, maybe the EAE Model FET or Dude Incredible pedals which I’ve been obsessing over a little for some harmonic percolating filth.

Any of you blokes using onboard CORE sounds to get any synthy, funky sounds a la key bass? Doing lots of pedal purging/rearranging these days and curious to know who's finding success on-CORE vs off-CORE.
I threw together a synth patch using fuzz, wah, and octave, and prob either reverb or chorus after.
Surprisingly, no Trace Elliot model, back in the 80’s & 90’s there was no other brand!
