Broughton Audio Super Thread

People will flip anything they can get their hands on. Just wait to see the dealer markup on the Corvette SUV. As far as pedals go if someone is willing to pay 2 to 20 times more than it's original sales price plenty of people will jump on this wagon train. Unfortunately myself and many others really wanted the Archetype Boost far more of us wanted this one than there was pedals made by Josh. Being on the west coast at 4:20 AM I dosed 4:27 AM it was sold out in seconds very much like a 3 Leaf drop. So either this pedal was really desired or Broughton hype has reached a higher level because in my short time buying Josh's pedals I don't remember any pedal selling out that fast. I'll keep trying but pedalboard space is almost all but gone. The 2 remaining pedals I want most might not come back around anytime soon fingers crossed. HAPPY HUNTING BROUGHS!

You shoulda been around for the Sunray drop.
Utter and complete chaos.
I failed miserably and I was right on it when it dropped.
Still haven’t been able to source one and I’m sure my last remaining feeling is still hurty.

So,
If anyone wants to trade me a Sunray, hit me up.

I need a cable with an angled XLR plug for my Studio One to finish my new board layout. All the cables I can find online have the plug angling downwards, but I need it to go left or right so it's horizontal with the pedal. Does that even exist? Any idea where I can find such a thing?

How long do you need? Not the exact connector shape you are after, but I think a low profile XLR might work for your application. Only limitation may be that most low profile XLRs I have seen are 3 foot or less.

I take it that you’re version is different than mine. You have the newer version?

Wouldnt it be awesome to make fewer pedals everyone already has and more of the ones we dont?? Yeah..that would be awesome

None Broughton pedal question.
I recently picked up a Boss OC-5. So now I'm curious how does it compare to the MXR VBO. Anyone here tried both? MXR VBO is cheap enough I might just get one but I've been on a real pedal buying spree as of late. Any insight would be appreciated. I made the mistake of not even trying to get a Subsonic because I had just bought a Gojira FX Octave Generator which has already lost its place on my big board and never will return. So, Octave spot on my Broughton Centric Pedalboard is between DBO, VBO, OC-5. I like both the OC-5 & DBO. Just figured since the VBO and Subsonic are OC-2 clones I'd get the VBO since I figured it would be the closest to OC-2 or Subsonic.

Yes. Mine is from the Xmas 21 drop I believe, so with the ground lift switch on the top, but with the xlr like the latest version:

Good news, apparently regular Neutrik plugs can be rotated easily! Case closed. Gonna leave this here for anyone interested:
