Brubaker Brute Club, Part 2

This has nothing to do with anything being said right now. I have a KXB-5 in build and already know I want another Custom made Brubaker. I want one like this but with matching wood block Inlays. Never say never.

That's really pretty. I have a running daydream about either a bass almost exactly like this, maple body, walnut top, maple fretboard, or what I'll call the "Ice" bass....all maple, painted in a transparent light blue that "bursts" to that lovely white Kevin does. All chrome hardware painted light blue...

Brubakers are the only instruments I've seen with the "fade to white" paint job, I love it!

Whoa, slam the brakes dude.

You clearly misunderstood me. I apologize for any lack of clarity in my post. I was responding to Brad - which is why I quoted him. I wasn't trying to implicate you at all. I was merely stating that I've seen TB members go ham over a product and then get mad when the builder/associates can't or won't give them exact dates etc. I'm sure we've all seen it on TB...

I've done the exact same thing, as Ds1 and a few others here can attest - asking how much something will cost, when it's expected to be shipped, can I get a discount (lol)....so I completely agree with your sentiments. That is exactly what is expected when an interesting or ground breaking product is announced....I dare say it's the type of buzz luthiers and manufactures want.

Anyways, I didn't mean any harm. I generally don't get involved in anything confrontational, ESPECIALLY on the internet. So let's move on, hopefully no harm, no foul.

Hey Brad.....another feature request you WILL relay to Kevin..................NOW........

Sorry if I took it wrong and out of context. Subtlety doesn't convey well on the internet and I just took the comment wrong, even though it wasn't even directed toward me, lol.

Hey stix_clgi you are correct about the holes in the tuning keys. They are slightly smaller than the norm. I always measure and cut my strings anyway and had no problems with putting a light gauge set of D'Addario Pro Steels on both of my Brutes. That is the set with the .125 B string.

We just did a Spector like this. The inlays weren't wood, but after trying some different peices of quilt maple we decided that this "purple bubble" was a better choice. It matched perfectly and was easier to install that wood (which can expand/contract and cause problems).

This one sold in an hour.

Yup. My preference is very pretty block inlays.

Hey Brute squad - I had to sell my Brute. I have to step down from my position as member #13.5. Having old pets just sucks, but they come before anything else so i had to let the Brute go. It did go to another TB'er so i'm happy about that.

I will say that i am definitely going to look into getting an American Brubaker when the time is right.
