Bugera Veyron Now Available

Sure, no prob!

I just put the 810 into my car today so I can take it to the practice room tomorrow after work, and the Veyron M is already there anyway.
So I'll put that stack together tomorrow evening and take a few pics.

Yes, the TecAmp is one of the better 810s definitely, extremely lightweight with just 39 Kgs or 86 pounds.
But you can't really compare it to an Ampeg 810 which is actually four closed 210s in one cab.
The TecAmp is one big volume bass reflex cab, the speakers are not sealed from each other.
Its voicing is more on the "modern" side, compared to an Ampeg it goes much lower and acts more dynamically where the SVT cabs get their typical sound from the closed construction sound compression.
The TecAmp with it's 8 neodymium magnet speakers sounds way more open and "full range" where the SVT concentrates on its midrange.
I would not call any of these cabs the "better" one, they once simply again match different sound ideals.

But, to be honest: in my very personal taste none of them can match my custom made 2x18... ;)

Oh yeah! :D
I didn't realize, when I was reading your review I was drooling!
Great review, great looking equipment! Thank you so mcuh for your response!

Do you know how much the Veryon weighs and its size?

Thanks!:bassist:

Have you guys tested the Bugera 410 cab, I' m about to order one but can't find some reviews or sound samples, how it sounds compared to the big names like GK, Ampeg , Aguilar, Mesa and so on...it is worth the money?

Hi there, I have the BN115TS and it's designed to go head to head with the Ampeg 115HE. It is MASSIVE sounding, and for a 15" very modern with good definition. The cabinet is light made out of birch plywood. The other day I pumped 550 watts into it and it got as loud as I could stand! I'm betting the 410 will be very sweet! :)

Thanx man!
This is what the cab looks like with front covers removed, BTW.
Featuring Eminence Sigma Pro speakers (Speaker Detail | Eminence Speaker)
Cab tuning is at 40Hz with 11 cu.ft. overall volume.
-3dB at 40Hz and -10dB at 30hz

Where the 810 is more punchy, in-your-face sounding, the 218 is a bit smoother in the low mids (without being slow, you can still slap the crap out of the cab) but then it can easily shake a whole room.
The 810 is just loud, the 218 releases pressure waves...
You gotta be careful not to become every FoH's nightmare! :D

Weight of the Veyron is 3.0 Kgs, dimensions are 255 x 80 x 300 mm according to Disssa's review in the German forum.

Hehe, yeah, love that cab!
With the BVV on top it sounds so clear and all easy, you can get enormous sound levels and the rig still goes like "Is that all you got, baby?".
Then when you drive the power tubes into saturation it begins to scream like a beast longing for more...awesome...just awesome.

Actually at the time where I got it I was looking for a decent 2x15 cab and had already been talking to some of the smaller German manufacturers, when somehow the idea of "why 15, why not step up even further and go to 18?" came to my mind and didn't let me go anymore.
As none of the guys had built a double 18 before - they were more like ***??? - I decided to develop one by myself and just have one of the guys build it for me on my specs.
Looks like I hit the nail on the head.

Funny thing: one of the guys (not the one who built it for me) has since started experimenting with 18s also and now offers a single 18 and a double 18 in his standard portfolio, too... :)

Many years ago I told my fellow players in the band I would love to have 2 x 18's and they laughed at me. Too big, too heavy, too muddy. Well, my TB friend, you've realized my dream! I wouldn't have a need for that cab anymore, but boy I would still love to have it! Not so much with the wife though LOL!!!

Who knows---you might have started a new trend! :D

Well...you don't really "need" cabs like this...if you're honest to yourself you just "want" them...that's no different in Germany at all.
But then, when my wife married me she already knew I was a bit crazy - so now she gets the confirmation every now and then that this hasn't changed in the last 25 years since our marriage.
I mean, hey, you gotta stay the guy she fell in love with when she was young, right? :D

Yep you got that right! Keep her on her toes! ;)

Hmmmmmm you got me thinking... would I LIKE one of those? Ummmm yeah! (Gears turning in head) LOL

Minor quibble, I would have arranged those two mids differently to improve horizontal dispersion.
Yes, I have also thought about that...but it would have made the cab even taller.
And to be honest, might be my old fart ears, but I haven't yet noticed any dispersion issues at all.
Probably as because I'm also the lead singer I'm kinda nailed to the microphone stand and don't move around on stage too much anyway.

How good that Bugera Veyron head is? Anyone tried the Bugera BTX36000. I have both Accugroove Whappo and Grande but dont know wich amp to use. Right now it's a Trace Elliot PPA1200

Bugera BTX36000 is an old design beast. 1980's technology class-ab amplifier, based on the Behringer popular power amplifiers of the time. As reliable as any 80's power amp design, but big and heavy, I'd be surprised if they still make them now that they have mastered class-d. I bet used prices are pretty low as people sell off for lightweight small heads.

the whole reason I never bought the BTX36000 was the weight. That head alone weighed as much as my entire rack at the time (which had a Behringer EP1500 power amp in it) . it looks like my Veyron M might just arrive tomorrow so i'll get a little time with it before my flight just through headphones, since I won't be able to bring in one of my cabs.
