you do live in Austin correct? I'd be visiting Austins Little Guitar Works and ordering a Torzal Twist Bass. You'll still have a couple thousand left over. Once again just my take.

Thanks! It actually a 2014 and I swapped in Lollar 60's style T-Bird pickups, silver tuners and a silver Babicz bridge. I replaced all the black hardware it came with.

It was a whole lot less that the the propsed budget of this thread but it really shocked me how versatile it is. a ot of usable sounds.

I use a wide strap and moved the rear strap peg up about 2 inches. No more neck dive. It is also reallt light, about 8 3/4 pounds if I recall correctly.

Used Elrick and still have a good chunk of that money left for a couple musician centered charities. Maybe even find a local band you really enjoy and buy them something to help them be better. Orrrr, invest in blacksmithing lessons for the coming apocalypse and you'll be set for life! So many wonderful options!

I found that once I had enough gear philanthropy and music events were the only thing left to buy and collect the memories and stories of the artists and fans I met.
