Cali76 only smaller?

Hey guys

I've seen several requests on "how does it compare to a FEA DE-CL"
I realize tapping is not everybody's thing but I don't have the time or skills to go through every interesting setting and application of those boxes. Here's what I got.

Quite different beasts, though it shows much more in person than on a recording.

And since you must be wondering "what do they sound like in stereo?", here's the 2nd take with the DE-CL to the left and the Cali76 CB to the right

Wow. Can I have your FEA?.............HA HA HA.
I think I want one of those more than I want a Cali.

What order are the compressors in the video or are they panned? I notice different setting in the two run throughs and the FEA was active for both (limiter on the second time thru). Just trying to figure out what I'm hearing.

The little cartoon-like bubbles are telling you which compressor is being heard (some youtube settings might be blocking those?)
For each clip it starts with the FEA then switches to the Cali after ~10 seconds, then back to the FEA for another ~10 seconds, and the Cali one more time for the last ~10 seconds.

Thanks, now it makes more sense. The bubbles weren't popping up on my phone but I tried it on my laptop it worked. Thanks and nice clip!

I'll keep that in mind next time I do such a video and do the bubbles in the video editor - being a dumbphone user that's not something I can check or even think of
It may work with the YouTube app but I just watched from my phone browser. No big deal, you got me sorted out. I've got a smart phone and they are time killers. As much as I love the convince of the smartphone I long for the simple days of my old flip phone.

I Google searched pretty thoroughly looking for stock and found one at Guitar Effects Canada a bit ago (they are now out of stock as well).

Loving this thing! I've had little experience with compressors outside of post-production when recording (I did recently pick up an Aguilar TLC that re-ignited my interest in compressor experimentation), but have used tube amps for a long time so some compression is definitely a part of my sound. I have been finding lots of great psuedo-tube settings with mine. I haven't tried it at 18 volts yet, but actually dig the subtle harmonic distortion I can get at some settings at 9 volts. I also dig the different EQ emphasis you can dial in using the HPF control- there's this really nice sweet-spot between 11 o'clock and 2 o'clock that gives this really great shifting midrange character with my Rickenbacker. I haven't had a chance to rehearse with mine in the band yet, but I have a feeling it may well become one of my always-on shapers once I have it dialed in just-so (it is pretty versatile). I am curious to mess with a Compact Deluxe to hear all the different Attack/Release possibilities too...

did anyone here order a COMPACT BASS from rogue guitar shop and RECEIVED IT YET???

do u guys know of a store that has them in stock? maybe i'll cancel my order at RGS .....
I ordered mine from them August 10th. Still hasn't come. I talked to them 2 days ago, they said the order is supposed to come in Thursday and then they will ship it the next day.

ok , i must say, it's a pedal i hate just as much as i hate the 3leaf audio wonderlove .... every setting i try , sounds different and great !!!!

i recorded a little test

first just the bass , my beloved MusicMan Stingray directly into the sound card.
then I added some B7K for some fat and rich tone
finally I compressed all of it with the ORIGIN EFFECT CALI76 COMPACT BASS ...

other than "normalize" the bass waves to a normal level , i did not touch the sound with any plug-in or EQ
