Can we please stop using "guitard"?

That's most likely because you don't have any kind of mental disability. Maybe try to put yourself in someone else's shoes and feel a bit of empathy.

I wasn't going to post this but I decided I should...No, I don't suffer from any mental disorders but my son does.

Maybe some just take things way too seriously and want everyone else to feel the same way they do.

And you are free to disregard the request wighat made in the OP as well. But when you lose a good friend or your job over saying something offensive, don't come crying to me.

I would assume most people have the common sense not to shout words off the "naughty list" at work. And most good friends are good friends for a reason. Unless you are hurling racial slurs at them, I can't see how common sense wouldn't prevail there too.

Didn't some people from universities try it stop Bill Maher and Seinfeld from speaking at said universities, because their jokes were offensive?

where does it stop.

Well that is actually a tricky situation because your student fees go to paying those performers. In my day to day life I am able to pick and choose who I support by paying to buy their product. At a university these decisions are usually made by the student government so the only way for students to not have their dollars go to these performers is to protest them. You ask where does it stop? It stops when decorum says it does.

It's a slippery slope guys. Do you know that people who are trying to banish the r word are also starting to get offended by the word disabled?

Side note: I am proud to say that a local tribe from my home town in California were asked to weigh in if a local high school should change their name from redskins to something else and they said no, they are not offended by that title and that the school carries the name with pride and honor.
