There is a guy named indiemojo that just posted on the Neo versus Regular speaker thread in amps. I told him he would fit right in here after he posted that he was excited, terrified but excited in a 'I just woke up naked handcuffed to the bed and smelling pumpkin pie baking downstairs' kind of way.

I pointed out that there were at least 2 people I know here on the CWB threads that would happily bake his pie. :smug:

There are a few surf bands in the area. We play out a few times a month. There used to be a surf night once a month but after 5 years, the venue decided punk was a better draw.:confused:

Most gigs we are paired with non-instrumental bands so it is a good mix for the crowd. We don't play only traditional surf but also surf up some gaga and coldplay, instrumental country, and blues.

It is a lot of fun.

For the first two years of my daughter's life, she would only go to sleep to Lady Gaga. I really need to hear a surf cover of that! :p

Duuude. Memorize? Who the heck memorizes The Ventures. Ever seen the album cover on that record? :smug:

Just fire off another spliff, put on the mariachis ('mandals' for ya young'uns) get out the board wax, throw the rig in the woodie and play the gig. Loose tightness...ya know?

I have an awesome recipe for bacon and egg pie. I suppose some people would call it quiche, but it's still pie to me.

Pre-bake a deep-dish pie crust with pie weights in it (about 10 minutes at 350 - you want it done, but not overdone).

While that's baking, chop up the bacon and cook it down until it's browned and crispy. Drain well. In the bacon fat, slow cook 1/2 cup of minced onion and 1/2 cup of tiny chopped red and green bell peppers until they're soft, and starting to caramelize. Drain the onions and peppers, then stir them into the bacon.

Take the crust out of the oven and cool just enough to remove the pie weights.

Beat 8 eggs (adjust number for size of eggs and the size of the pie crust) then add 1/4 cup of milk or cream (you can choose based on whatever you have). Beat the milk into the eggs. Stir 1 cup grated cheese into the eggs.

Spread the bacon, onion, and peppers evenly across the bottom of the pie crust. Carefully pour the egg mixture over the bacon mixture to fill the pie crust. Sprinkle with sea salt and cracked black pepper.

Bake at 350 in center of oven until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

When I make this, I usually also make some kind of fruit salad and english muffins.

lol thanks....just Junk I have collected over the years.....if one is patient and keeps an eye on Craigslist, Yard sales, and the local pawn shops....you can find all kinds of cool Junk Cheap...lol
