I go away for a day and half to record the bass for our new demo plus rehearse......Wow!

I owe you all here goes.

Thor, you are a gentleman thanks for everything, the kind words about my band and me as a bass player and a person. It would be my pleasure to buy you a drink anytime good sir.
I need to say thanks all of you beautiful people for your compliments - PassivAggresiv, FurryMonkey, ric3xrt, Tat2Heart, RPB McG, Buchannanbass,THand (big thanks!) Samthebassist and eveybody I missed, plus Deej for starting it all the first place.

Awww, shucks, just telling the truth my man. Spreading the music, the message and the love.

Being a fish guy, we do a lot of biz up in Seattle, but I never get there. If you get to the Boston or RI area, check in. We got beer. Cookies too. Even chocolate. And my personal fave, cheap, ice cold jug wine. T, it's not me, you have earned the respect of your fellow bassists in many ways, I am just telling what I know from your posts and links. And the things other bassists say about you. You've paid the dues. You reap what you sow.

Im equally excited for either
Excellent! Because I'm dead serious - if any of you ever end up in Michigan for some reason, and you let me know about it, there will be cake and bass, too.

We have similar taste, I think. What pics come up will depend on what turns out. We'll know more later in the week.
You. Are. Awesome. I'm sure they're going to be great.

PassivAggressiv, great chick on chick shot! Love it!

All you guys with your pics up-you're all looking quite handsome.

RPB_McG- I thought you were serious about the Bootsy Collins tribute...lmao...I'm kinda dissapointed that you don't have the outfit (or do you?) but you're better looking than Bootsy.:)

Tat2dHeart - OMG, I've got to see those lime green shoes with the stripes! And yes, let's have pics with outfit changes and different basses - the more options, the better. :)

Shoes as requested.

Guys (and girls, of course), I have a question and since I can't ask my one and only friend and have a hard time confiding in other people I personally know, this is the only place to ask.

I just started my second semester of college, and because I don't have any friends left over from high school (or anywhere else for that matter), I was hoping to meet some new people at school. However, I can already see the same pattern emerging as in high school - I go to my classes and then go home, without having said a single word to anybody in the interim. I'm not good at approaching people or making friends or acquaintances, and so far as dating goes, it's a sparse landscape.

Now, I know I'm not pretty, but I don't think I'm that bad looking, and I've seen people who look a lot worse and are doing just fine. I'm pretty friendly, always willing to help, intelligent, and interesting (if you have things in common with me). I hold my head up high and act confident, and I'm willing to give practically anyone a chance, or the benefit of the doubt.

However, nobody ever approaches me or wants to talk, or can even carry on a conversation on the rare chance that I start one. Nobody even shows any interest. What is wrong with me? What is it that pushes people away like this? I am sorry for the lengthy post and for asking this sort of question, but I really am beginning to wonder.

It doesn't sound like anything is wrong with you. These are normal things for where you are in your life with lots of changes. You'll get there. I suspect you're shy, but that's not insurmountable.

Be to others what you'd like them to be with you. Start a conversation just to say hello. Make it about them for a little while and get to know who they are. It doesn't have to be a whole hour long discussion, those little five minute, "Whatcha reading?" chats are a great start to a new friendship.

I have lurked from the begining of thread 1. Lots of very funny banter, some deep commentary, along with a few sour fruits. Every time I thought it was a goner, the thread was saved. Deej, Sam, Tbird, and the rest of LLP team: You are all very cool cats. And the gentle herder of said cat army? Fantastic. So I offer this:

May the day never come that this thread is not on page one of gig humor. :)

Rainy day here today in RI after a spectacular weekend. Someone else has mentioned 'spectacular' in this thread but I won't go there.

Anyway, on the drive in to work, I started thinking about this thread again. Then I came up with a slogan. Sig. Whatever.

I think I will have a T shirt made up. What do you think?
