Thanks for the compliment but that isn't me :P Since I saw people posting random pictures I thought I'd join in on that. The point being that every last one of my friends is like... "without bass" and I'm the one lone voice going "nuh uh with bass".

Just wanted to see where TB stood on the issue so I have some ammo to beat their guitard heads with :D

The girl in question is Swasti Sabdastantri, a.k.a. Chua, from a local band called Kotak (that'd be Indonesian for "Box").

I hear that it works best with all knobs at max'd out, as shown in the pic. It's also totally pervertable...meaning, you can plug a bass OR a guitar into it.

If you need the batteries for other "electronics", just pull out the volume knob for PassivAggressiv mode.

And why "Bassic" for the name? Thinking back to HS chem, what neutralizes acids (such as those found in...ahem...citrus fruits)? BASSES!

Sam- doesn't bother me, as I'm guilty of the same thing, especially at 4am when I can't sleep.

Guys-with basses. Always with basses. You get +2 hotness points holding a bass, unless you're making a really bad bass face, and then it's only +1.

I think the Squire matches the lime stripe slides better, and I think a nude back pic of the tattoos (I almost shortened that to tats right there, but realized after I typed it probably not the best idea) plus bass could be awesome and tasteful.

Funny you should mention bass and nude in the same sentence. I'm not typically comfortable in front of the camera at all, but I've been pondering having some artsy pictures made with my instruments. It's an idea more for me than anyone else, but your comment has me thinking... :eyebrow: Perhaps...

I've been lurking since the thread started. There is so much awesome here, from everyone.

I've encouraged my 12 year old daughter to read the thread with me (contingent on my previewing it, of course....:D ) - because I want to foster the kind of inclusive, welcoming spirit that most everyone has shown here.

There is absolutely no need to rationalize pervertables. They're my favorite toys. You'd be surprised at how many cool fun pervertable things you can find the most unsuspecting stores (Lowes, Home Depot, Staples, the kitchen gadget aisle of any store that sells such things, and of course, Hobby Lobby). Not to mention, you can leave those things lie around anywhere and even your most conservative neighbor would never suspect. :D

But see - now you've got me going there...again. ;) *sigh* I'm starting to seriously reconsider being single.

Did some digging around, and still haven't found a pic "with bass"...so I made one.
I did find this from a load-in 30 years ago (told ya I'm am old rocker ;))

I call it, "dude with lights, in the 70's" Yes there was a disco ball too, but no pic of it:

And, for the record, if you preview anything that is unsubtle enough or inappropriate for your 12 year old daughter, hit the post report button. We'll make lemonade. Yours truly has been presented an enormous spoon, one big enough to scare even Paul Hogan.

A couple of posts gave me an idea for a with vs without pic. Unfortunately, the pics are on the work computer so they won't be up till tomorrow. I am really curious to see who likes which one. I am almost positive I know which one STB will pick.

Some great graphic ideas up there.
