UPS man finally delivered a 3 day late Bday present to myself. HAHA!

Compared to my 77 P thats loaded with Nordy pups THAT TOALLY KILLS!!! The 77 has hotter output and more bottom but it can get muddy and lost if the wrong engineer gets on it. The AC is significantly more balanced and the tone is nothing less than what id expect it to be. The neck is flatter and i REALLY like that.

So i guess the 77 will start wearing flats for some experimenting. I know alot of you use flats on your AC P's...never really been my thing but i will MOS DEF give it a shot.

Brian at The Low End (lowend.net) seems to run into them more than any other used site I've seen. Maybe because they're specifically on his "I'm particularly interested in these" list on his site. Otherwise, I can appreciate your problem. I can't imagine ever parting with mine, and I figure most folks would feel the same.

I've been meaning to post pics up for a while, but didn't have any so I just snapped some pics with my phone. Hopefully you can see Jimmy's amazing fretwork in these.

It says Fender on the headstock, and according to Jimmy, the neck is from a '70s - probably a '75. It's the only part of it that is Fender.

As you can see, she's fully relic'd. Thing is, I have no idea where any of these dings came from. I actually bought it in pretty close to this condition around 10 years ago.

When I visited Jimmy's shop after having the bass for a while, I told him that the only thing I'd change about it is that it would be nice to have a tone knob. I don't know if those were always on the ACs, but he told me that the tone knob was in the works for the production model.

The passive tone knob has been standard for quite some time now, as far as I know.
Mine has it, and it's ~ 1 year, 4 months old or so.
