No, it's not; I have between 3 and 9 of some things. :D In all honesty, I have way too much stuff. As much as it goes against my hording nature, I may have to thin the herd a bit... :hmm:

Could not hold my AC LG5 GAS any more so followed your advice and ordered my LG5 Standard today .
First i wanted a Aged Olympic White , but i was still flirting with the CAOJ . And you know what happens after flirting:D

Tinted gloss neck
AC two way EQ

Cant wait...


Man 12 months backorder time , its gonna be a long year...

Detail : i als wanted a compartiment for the 9V batttery box cut at the back , so you dont need a screwdriver to loosen the control plate to change the battery. No longer availabe.
This is what Jimmy said:

"The 9 volt is now under the control plate. The compartments break, so he discontinued using them. Besides, now with the new body size the new pin router fixtures do not have the 9 volt box cut. "

Guess it is not a big deal , can always switch to pasive if the battery runs out during active playing mode.

Hmmmm, to be honest, I really like having the separate, quick release 9V compartment in the back. That's too bad he isn't offering it anymore.

I suppose it's not a huge issue if you aren't draining batteries quickly (which I don't), but certainly more convenient.

Either way, I am 100% positive that your LG5 will kill :bassist:

"battery under the control cover isn't a big deal..."

It's not a big deal as long as threaded inserts are used on the control cavity.
Use of plain old wood screws into the control cavity really is a bummer; especially on a bass at this pricepoint.
No matter how careful you are, those wear out over time.

This cool battery tester tells you how many hours of use there are left on your battery, so you don't have to guess if you'll finish the show in active mode:

Thx for the replies : actually i also like it a lot to have a apart 9V Cavity. I hate it to grab a screwdriver and have your bass
upside down during the sets.

But i guess it als has to do with the 'pin router thing':D.

I was just about to say I suspect this more than anything else. These boxes may break, but I seriously doubt it's that big of a problem. My guess is, he just doesn't want to mess with putting that in the CNC program right now.

Hey all. I got a chance to really dig into one of these last weekend at our NOVA GTG and it is the first bass since my Sadowsky to make me GAS hard. It has me considering selling the UV70 to fund one of these. The only bummer part is their price point. I was a little shell shocked to see the cost. But, I have to admit they are monster basses!!!!

Here is a pic of me with it on Sunday. Ignore the facial expression. I think the owner just told me he would not trade me hence the face...

Congrats! With wait being 10-12 months, It will be a Birthday/Christmas gift or a late Birthday/Christmas gift for me. LOL!
