Yeah it is! That is my favorite color!!! If I can ever afford to have one built for me, I will have identical to yours. Man, now I really really want one.... how nice would these two look together?

I would do it, but my wife and I are expecting twins in August and she would have my n*ts on the chopping block if I spent more money on gear. I am already having to battle being able to still play in my band. I think $5k on a bass would put me on the street.

*Edit*- I had to fix the images, it was annoying me to have them side by side.

I was just about to say the same thing... at least with dot inlays. Even on the original Fenders I've seen like this, I just could never get along with the dot/bound look. BUT, for some reason, with blocks it's ok. I know, just personal prefs, but FWIW anyway.

I don't think so. You literally have to go into each model and manually compare. I do think he should do that, though. I think his web site doesn't get near enough attention in general.

+1 Absolutely. With blocks, I love the binding. With dots, not so much.

But as always, YMMV. :cool:

Very true... especially of course if it's a 4 string.

But then again, I wouldn't get a '66 J with those options for the same reason. ;) :D
