Hey Ken , bought it from Jimmy he build it for his friend and TB-er Lullbass but he decided to return it because of the 19 mm spacing . My luck.

Off topic: inspired by Kirks signature i checked out the GENZ BENZ amps and i bought a Shuttle 9.0.
4 lbs and 900 W at 4 ohm!
Sounds really nice with my LM 5 Deluxe!

I just love that color combination. I bet it is killer sounding.

These J's really do sound great with that kind of 'bright and tight' sort of voicing. I too like the Shuttle 9 quite a bit, and my F500 has a similar 'bite and punch' that I love with my LM.

That's right... black blocks and binding on yours... love that just as much! Just love the black with perloid with maple sort of thing, and the black blocks just pop with the black body, and the perloid blocks pop with the perloid guard. Both just amazing looking!

GB are Great folks to deal m participate in the forum, and helpful if you ever have an issue.. They are always on call!
I tell ya. I just love the look of your new bass.. Classic looking yet sharp.
I see you have an LG on order too... I played my LG last night on a gig with my Shuttle 9 ..
I am thinking of getting the newer GB 1288 cabs .. or a pair of Uber 210s just easier to move on local gigs. than a larger 410 for me.. if you can wait til January. some new stuff will be coming after NAMM... Alleva Coppolo will also have a few treats at that time...

Another one of my Favs is the Music Man Stingray V that you have,,, IF i could just find a light one, closer to 9 pounds or under i would snatch it up in a second..

Another one of my Favs is the Music Man Stingray V that you have,,, IF i could just find a light one, closer to 9 pounds or under i would snatch it up in a second..

This one was right at 9 pounds... a "feather" for an SR5. I had Beaver and the crew at BC hand select it for me. I ended up deciding the SR was not my thing, but of all the SRs I have played, this one was the best. It was not easy to let it go. The TB'er I sold it to a while back, still owns it and loves it.

Seriously, don't fret over that one (pun intended). With a couple AC's under yer belt, I doubt you'd miss it.

Some 'Jazz Bass lovers' simply dont dig that MM sound i discovered . But it adds a special sound in the spectrum of several basses and their particular sounds.

No, he doesn't.

If you recall, you sold it to me, and then I sold it to the current (TB) owner. It's a great bass, for sure, but being a sucker for playing over the neck pickup, it wasn't for me.

lol...that's the EXACT same reason why I've never gotten into SR's...I play over the neck pickup 99% of the time so my right hand never felt comfortable on an SR. I love the tone though!

Me too, even though I played one for years (I luckily don't use a pickup as a thumb rest, so zero issue there).

Since we are massively OT anyway, for those who love the SR5 but need wider spacing, Sadowsky is doing an SR5 model with the Nordstrand pickup. Looks smokin'... lightweight, 19mm, and from my experience with playing a bass with that Nordstrand in exact MM position... it should NAIL the MM tone.
