Hey Joel,

Wow, just think, if the music scene doesn't work out for you guys, you could always go and rob banks in Charlestown with those costumes on:D:hiding::D:D:D

It's sort of our schtick. All cover tunes (mostly love songs from the 70's and 80's) but played really well and while wearing disturbing masks!

People love it -- There's a market for everything. :bassist:

Yeh ... BIG misconception on my part.

I've always relegated Poly to solids and trans in my mind.
Pleasantly surprised to be wrong.

I don't have the harem you do, Vic (and clearly, don't get out enough).

:D
No, it probably more likely means you're a better player than I since you aren't constantly changing instruments all the time. :)

Seriously tho, it's not just the ones I've owned (although you are correct I have a big penchant for bursts, and do prefer the durability of poly). Lots of pics of various brands... including Jimmy's fine instruments, of course, which, by the way, my AC is burst/poly (though it's not as vibrant as the ash one because ash is a lighter colored wood and has a more accentuated grain, of course.)

I know this was already posted, but I was checking out the clip of Marcus Miller at the A-C booth...I had forgotten how cool it is. I love how even at NAMM with all the background noise there you can clearly hear the tone of that LM5. And it really looks like he had a good time playing it - he didn't want to put it down!

Wow. Great clip. Gorgeous instruments. I don't like pink guitars but theirs is nice.
I would've been pretty excited to see & hear Miller in that situation.
Miller went off. He seemed pretty comfortable w that instrument. I wonder if he's locked in w Fender or if he ever thinks to himself, "My sig model sure is bloody heavy; I wish I had that Coppolo." Ok now I'm just using my imagination.

So ... I had NO IDEA you could get a burst to look this cool out of Poly. And on ash, no less ...

I saw this photo and others from the recent bass hang in San Diego and thought this guy looks a lot like Oscar Cartaya ?

Is it ? :hmm:

Is that Gold Hardware also ?

Like all AC basses--this is a BEAUTY also.

Every day I give thanks for both of mine--the LM Deluxe and the LG Classic--both 5-ers...

cheers ya'all ;)
