Very cool! About a year ago I stopped posting often as I have been really happy with my gear, gigging less with my son (almost two now).

I've got to tell you guys since I stopped my major gigging and reclaimed my weekends for family and fun, life couldn't be better. It's just a shame that gigging on Long island is really busy in the summer and slows for the winter, I guess that's the same in most places.

A totally awesome LM doesn't hurt in curing GAS either.

like that. yessir.

Honestly, even then, I doubt that'd change things unless he was planning to get the new thing himself, which at this point, I think there would be a fairly small chance of.

He's actually going through a really cool and refreshing life change. In many ways, I very much envy him.

I spoke with Jimmy yesterday.. The photo above that ricksy posted confirms what he told me.. He has a pile of necks done... I called him late one sunday night at about midnight and he was at the shop... working... I know he is doing what is best for Caesar right now...

I think i will be ordering an LG4 from him soon.... Ive been wanting one since i played that Sonic Blue one at NAMM two years ago...

I remember gigging Long Island... Did it for 20 years... I love LI....!!!! NYC never seemed to slow in the winter thought.. that town is 24/7/365.25

But as you say,, winter can get slow on LI.... But in the 80s i gigged with that band mazarin.. and they played 4-5 and 6 days a week no matter what. We did 33 days in a row once... But it was the rock clubs in the tristate area and it was The 80s... :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Hey Kirk, how are you my man? I miss you, hope to see you sometime soon!

Yes, things have been really tough on Jimmy lately but I commend him for pushing through and keeping up with business... It's been a while since I've been to the shop, first week of May before my wedding, IIRC... And even back then I had to comment, "Damn man you've been busy!" Just a pile things in progress everywhere, even more so than when we were getting ready for NAMM I think. I can't wait for the majority of that stuff to be ready for sanding so I can try to help him again, hard work but fun!

He also has the neck for my LG5 glued and cut, blocks/binding routs are done as well... Next step is the profile. I'm getting real excited for this bass. The LM has been "working out" to say the least but I am also imagining the "darker" side of things with the LG.

I didn't realize you were a LI'er. Our paths must have crossed on the scene. Although, it would be later 80's / early 90's for me...

Great club scene then though: Limelight, Danceteria, Spit, Industry, Sparks, etc. Fun stuff!

Yes Sir. Born in Queens, lived in New Hyde Park most of my life.. Then Stony Brook then back to Brooklyn. I am sure we have run into each other way back...
Oh yes i played those places.. The Limelight too.. And Rumrunners @ Oyster Bay, Speaks @ Island Park, Paladium @ NYC , Studio54, Dublin Pub, My Fathers Place @ Roslyn, Bottom Line, yep CBGBs, and every tiny place there was back then... I played them all.. Lots of huge artists came from there.. Must be something in the water..
Do you remember LaMores? Boy that brings back some Stories not allowed to be talked about here...:D:D:D:D

I posted on your FB page wondering about your white LG... With what happened to it and all... Everything ok?

Just giving our thread a little wake up... How's everyone doing?

Some pics won't hurt I guess...

love that bass yohan! @Kirk I've already gotten several requests to track over old things I've done as well as tracks done by other bassists with my KBP5....and this is over vintage Fenders! And I can't believe you don't already own at least 2 LMs haha....what about an RA5? Are you not a fan? I feel like RAs get very little love in this thread what's the deal?

I asked this same question when I had an RA5 (it was the CAOJ/Tort that I believe Diglo owns now)... I guess people prefer 60's or 70's and not the mixture of both... Who knows, haha. I'll probably get a 1600 down the line which could be an RA spec with an exotic top.
