The sunburst kbp5? Hit me up if u do! That thing is BEAST!!
basses55 said:Heads up Mitch- one Canadian Customs agent recently asked me what woods were in the bass I was bringing over.....only one reason for asking that. I dont think she was just a "bass fan" either. There was no Brazilian in that bass so no problem.
I think you are right though that its still a lower risk overall. But there is still an issue out there and it might get worse- you never know.
bassdoubler said:Whatttt haha dude don't you have a sweet kbp already?

When in doubt, buy both.Hey guy - I'm really stuck between an RA4 and LM4.
I know the tone woods well and the RA4 will be a touch 'sweeter' sounding due to alder's tone. But the LM seems a lot more popular -of course - the classic ash/maple combo.
To throw a munkey wrench into it all - I own and love my Sadowsky UV70 (ash/maple).
What to do....
General thoughts?
A friend of mine has vintage Ps and 2 KBP5s.
One of the two KBP5s basically out- Fenders the Fenders!
Does he have my old Black body/DN KBP5 ?
yeah.. I should have kept that one...
The link from the old club post, part 18, didn't work for me; it just left me at the general talkbass.com url.
It reminded me of when I graduated high school and left home. A year later I thought I'd surprise my mom and came home without telling her I was coming.
I walked into our house and yelled, "Mom! I'm home!"
To my surprise, my family had moved and didn't tell me, and I'd just walked into someone else's house house (to our mutual terror).
But I found you guys in the end!
In!
