This thread, since its inception, has been such a valuable resource. I just want to thank all the contributors and the guys that make it great. From the early Alleva Coppolo adopters to the guys like me that are waiting on our basses, you've all been instrumental in making this the best place to find comprehensive Alleva Coppolo information on the net. You all deserve a big thank you!!

With that said, I want my bass so bad I can taste it! :D

I agree 100%! If it had not have been for this thread and Kirk and Ken in particular, I honestly don't think I would have ever found this bass on my own...I am truly grateful that I did. Thanks guys! I have to say an extra thanks to basses55 as it was his bass that sealed me on the 3TS and Dalbergia, THANK YOU!!!

Hell Yeah Bernie,
I love the way this club actually feels like a club. The perspectives I get from the seasoned players here are awesome; no fluff, honest experience, and spot on comparisons between basses, tone colors, and instrument feel/construction (kirk/ken...LOL). And the younger guys are always willing to help out, share, and post pics.

I finally became a paying talkbass member after a year, because I realized that I was learning so much from this forum, and it's helped me become a more discerning player, teacher, and shopper. BOOYAH.

LMAO Ken! Not sure what a 'real player' is. But I sure hope I'm one of them! :D While I cannot deny that I admire Gucci/boutique caliber coffee-table topped basses, I am gravitating back toward vintage looks, shape and tone. I.e. I crave the best sounding Fender Jazz Bass-ish tones I can conjur.

I've seen some gorgeous Alleva's with exotic tops, but man, it's the Vintage look and vibe that is calling my name.

I was pretty much set on getting a bass from Jimmy before this thread was born (Bernie, look what you've done!) but hanging around the boards and talking to you guys have definitely made the overall experience really cool (but the waiting period was excrutiating!).I hope that this thread continues to help potential buyers as much as it can by being THE best place for info on these basses besides a call to Jimmy.

I think the 4 string is getting VERY scarce if I heard him correctly and the 5's are getting low enough that I wanted to make sure I got one so he was kind enough to set me one aside until we can work out exactly what I want on this one. I am hoping this will be the last 5 string I ever buy. I am so happy with my 3TS 4 that I can't imagine "needing"another 4 but I have constant GAS so who knows! But I definitely want this to be my last 5 and with the experience I had the other day, I wanted to be positive that I got a Dalbergia board on it!!!

Thanks Tom. That's going to be a smokin' 5 for sure. It will be fun to hear what you decide to do... another very vintage vibe, or a more modern take/finish, etc. Cool!

I was originally going to go with the Gold color Ken has. I bet that would kill with the Dalbergia.......pastel colors would look good too........only seen one with a Dalbergia board and it looked/played great........

I know this isn't Brazilian RW related, buttt....:cool:

Does anyone know where I can locate one of these cool looking Brazilian Bikini pick up cover... I know that Atelier z has them on their website but they list no contact info...:help:

I called the A-C shop and Marco mentioned that they are even having trouble getting them in stock.

Any info would be great...
