Haha nope.You switchin' up?
Just thinking outloud for another LG5 down the road. I would like to have a solid pastel at some point also. I would also love to get Dalbergia but Jimmy may be out by that time...

Haha nope.You switchin' up?

I'm a bit of a simpleton when it comes to these decisions.
You guys are killin me here. Everytime I think I'm going to just settle in with at least a couple modest specs, you say things that makes total sense! Dammit. ...and that costs a bit more. LOL That said, I continue to be blown away by Tom's 3T sunburst LG4. So I really want that "Mojo" that Tommix is so enamored about with. That basically equates to a full tilt Alleva with "all" the trimmings! I.e. bent plate bridge, Dalbergia, Nitro etc.
Jimmy reminded me when I ordered my LG5 that I can decide on the bridge later. Once it get's that close, I'll make the final call. I'm guessing I will lean toward the vintage bent plate bridge. Jimmy also told me his proprietary bridges are built at a local machine shop and are not a production item. Hence the additional cost for what is essentially, a simpler design than the Hipshot bridge.
Gary I just took a couple of basses out and played them in the garage. The Sadowsky #3333, the Sadowsky PJ4 and the AC...NO CONTEST...The AC KILLED THEM both. I hate to say it but I may wind up selling everything I have except the AC and a backup...
Don't hesitate! It is ALL that!
Peace,
T
.... yet one whom I admire, and no doubt, someone I will thank one day! But for now, me and my pocket book don't like you very much. Lol
That will most likely change .... in about 5 months when I take delivery on my LG5.Do I see Dalbergia in Gary's near future...?

Haha! I hear ya, bro.You just never know. hehe ....![]()
and Bernie, I love you man, but you're not helping either!!! Then again, maybe you are helping spec the bass of my dreams. Hmmm.![]()
LG5 for me = Nitro for the body and back of neck
Very cool, Dave! I'm sure that bass will be a beauty! I can't wait to see some of the KBP5's start rolling in that have been ordered.KBP-5 on order. Currently planning on nitro 3TS with a tinted poly neck. I may change the neck to nitro but I can't imagine the neck feeling any better than the poly neck on my LG-5. I was originally planning on a poly finish on the body but the 3TS on Tom's KBP-4 changed my mind. Now if I only could justify the $1500 upcharge for the Brazilian board.
Dave

Haha hey gruuv!! Glad to see you back and in action.Man, I go away for a couple of months, come back and there's a Part II to this thread that's 40+ pages long!
And Mike is playing Tom S's LG5!!!
And Bernie went and ordered basses from two of the baddest NYC has to offer!!!!!
And Tom B has a basement full of. . . oh, wait. . .
Well, because it's entirely likely that I will NEVER catch up on this thread, humor me and tell me who's got what on order, if nobody minds the redundency...
Oh, by the way, I will have an Alleva Coppolo of my very own in about one month, but that is all I'll say for now. So, I will officially don my Club Alleva Coppolo Member #9 sobriquet (as presented to me by Ace Of Bass, thank you, sir) and promptly do my Alleva Coppolo dance. . .
