Apologies if answers to these questions are buried in one of the 21 parts of the Club Alleva Coppolo, but here goes anyway:
The Alleva Coppolo website is kind of devoid of options. Again, apologies if this has been answered in a Sticky somewhere I may have missed.
- Is satin nitrocellulose lacquer an option for bodies?
- Is satin nitrocellulose lacquer an option for necks?
- Vintage tint an option for necks?
- "Aged"/"vintage"/non-stark-white dot inlays an option for fretboards?
- Brazilian rosewood an option at all in 2020? (If not, any close seconds?)

I am almost positive I recently saw 2 satin nitro bodies from jimmy.
My neck has a vintage tint on my LG
I believe my dots are clay, so they look nice and non-crazy white
I'm not sure what jimmy is using in place of Brazilian right now (or if he has Brazilian) but If you send him an email, I'm sure he'd let you know the options he has in stock!

Hey man! Thanks so much for the reply. Sounds like I should email Jimmy. (Does he sell direct, or only through dealers?)
I think there are a few dealers out there. Bass San Diego was his top dealer for a while, but I'm not sure if they are anymore. Shoot him an email and let him know what you're looking for. He can take some time to get back to you, but just be patient. Everything is worth the wait with anything he does. He's easily my favorite builder and such a good guy.

Thanks John. The strings are Jimmy's flats. Age is a state of mind. I feel old, haha.
I will never say I'm old again on here ha! Thanks, it's a really nice sounding bass and it has an amazing low mid thump to it. I think I got the shirt from Namm 2019.

Business issues relating to COVID are forcing me to part with some of my AC's, 3 of which I purchased here on Talkbass. I will be putting them up in the classifieds, but I figured I'd put them up here for you guys first. If anyone is interested or would like more pictures please let me know. I have them listed on Reverb, however, I'd be willing to do a better price for people on here. Blond is an LM5 Deluxe, KBP5 in Lake Placid Blue that I purchased from JP, LG5 Standard in LPB that I purchsed from Basses55 and LG5 Classic in Olympic White that I purchased from Unisound. Thanks!

@kessell5 First off, I'm a weirdo who maintains an instrument wishlist on Excel (not that I can afford them or anything). I save weblinks of everything that interests me online. I recognized 3 of these in my wishlist already. I didn't see the sale for the white bass but I'll watch for it.
Finally committed to my LG5 today. The orange pearl is the most striking (painted) bass that I've ever seen. Though, it took me some time to accept that it was poly, while nitro is all the rage. Relic nitro bodies do look cooler, also I would not feel guilty about dinging, which is nice. But, after getting the chance to play a pair of $8,000 Stenbacks, I now realize that poly vs. nitro (even maple vs. rosewood) may have little correlation with how a masterpiece bass comes together in the end. This one simply clicks for me and I'll now proudly fly the poly flag!
Anyhow, I haven't seen anyone else (dumb enough to) do this to their Alleva Coppolo, but I decided to relic the back of the neck. If you haven't felt a Pino Palladino CS relic neck, it's excellent. I wanted the same on my CS jazz, so I drove a long way & paid a Fender Custom Shop tech to relic it, similar to the Pino. We tried a variety of protective finishes after getting it sanded down (thin nitro, tru-oil, tung oil, beeswax) and oil/wax won by a long shot. I understand there's a risk of it warping, but it probably will never leave my house and I'll keep it sealed with alternating coats of oil & beeswax.
Having seen how simple the fender relic was, I decided to DIY: few hours, three boxes of 220 grit sandpaper, and some fingerboard oil. The custom shop trick to get that worn coloration the back of the neck is simply newspaper (graphite). You'll notice a huge range in shades on fenders, but I find the ash tray gray a bit overkill unless it's a masterbuilt heavy relic, so I'm going at it slowly. Pictured, there's probably about a half dozen newspaper pages lightly rubbed in, with a coat of oil in between each to better distribute the pigment. This was one sweet looking / sounding bass, but now it has the feel that it deserves. The original satin just felt like a Fender V to me. So much better now! +some T.I. JF345's and it is now perfect. Finally down to just one bass / one amp and loving it.
